nor is there much incentive for the politician to refuse their offers.
That's right, they'll still be reelected. Is that the politician's fault? Or the money's? Sorry, most corruption in America is in the heart and soul of the voters that put these people in office, hoping for their own piece of the action. So much bacon!
You just need a cat, with little velcro booties, and buttered toast on its back, maybe half dead, or half alive, depending on your POV, and if you looked.
Yes, I do correct it, before I post it! Once it's sent, too damn bad, under the right conditions it can be amended. That's what you should live with. Kinda jumpy, aren't ya?
They removed the audio port to make it waterproof.
Yes, they did remove it -- in large part --to make it waterproof.
Ah, the caterpillar morphs into a butterfly... Well, sure, anything over 50% makes it large enough.. Hell, in the boardroom it only takes one (person, not percent) I'll let ya in on a little secret, everything about Apple is a marketing decision (though the thing with the chargers is probably just getting rid of old inventory), Android too. You gotta keep the treadmill running.
it's probably not the case that they did it to boost wireless headphone sales.
Why not? It's just as big a part of the aesthetic as anything. Yes, Apple did it for marketing (aesthetics), that is what they do, make the machine look good. They didn't do it for waterproofing, or any other technically rational reason.
Fine, make it an option then. Whatever, like you said above to the other guy, I'm not a customer. I guess they don't want me as one either. Regardless of yours and their opinion, look and feel are nice, but I consider a mic/headphone jack a necessity. Inch by inch the market is failing me.
Anyway, contrary to your assertion, they did not remove it to make it waterproof. It is pure marketing. After all, Apple is the leading pioneer in computer lockdown, since the earliest Macs.
Samsung has an audio port, it's kinda waterproof (down to about 5 feet). Apple removed the audio port as a marketing gimmick to sell their wireless earbuds. They hardly lost any customers over it, so they consider it a hit. Apple defines the value of propaganda.
What exactly does "modified" mean? If I have to change my calipers and use non-OEM ones, is the car now modified? What about if a shop installs non-OEM shocks? Is that a modification?
Yes, if insurance (or even the state) wants to play it that way, they would be within their rights. We already have those rules for aircraft.
The previous guy talked about even software changes to the entertainment system could potentially be dangerous... how is that different than having a custom deck put in?
C'mon, man, you don't have to play dumb. The deck isn't integrated with the cruise control, it just taps power. Our old cars are Rube Goldberg devices, but easy for anybody to fix. The Tesla is a black box, not even worth owning the damn thing, better to lease them or use them like bikes, where you just drop it off. For entertainment use your iPhone. No doubt it will connect to the speakers in the car. The idea of a "deck" is kinda silly now, like using the vice grips to work the power windows
Sorry, as long as we are subject to its jurisdiction, all aspects of the law must be universally accessible. This is one of the things we pay taxes for. We should get some service for our money.
But you can never prove if they actually do. Besides, the NSA, et al is tracking everybody anyway, so what difference does it make? Just crap flood the system with chaff and let god sort it out.
And politicians don't really care about their constituents or the country.
Apparently the constituents don't care either. They keep reelecting the same class of politicians over and over.
I know it goes against popular opinion, but you're supposed to blame the idiot believers.

Or do you correct the mis-typed letter?
Yes, I do correct it, before I post it! Once it's sent, too damn bad, under the right conditions it can be amended. That's what you should live with. Kinda jumpy, aren't ya?
No, the fatal flaw is the voters reelecting crooks into Congress. If you want to end corruption, you have to stop rewarding it.
this is on Congress
Yeah, so it is, and who's responsible for Congress? Who constantly reelects 95% of them despite all this?
This isn't on Congress. It's on the voters! Stop the goddamn blame passing!
Amending the comment serves the same purpose. It can be indented beneath the original. It's the only logical way to do it. It's not a problem.
Amending a comment (once) is cool. Editing is not. It's far too easy to abuse. People just have to learn self control.

the customer can ask for his money back for the original flight because the customer never got to their destination...
Yeah, then they'll just handcuff you to your seat, and give a coke can to piss into.
The airline is free to set whatever conditions they want on their tickets
Well, it's time for the customers to set the conditions for a change, any way they can.

I'm seeing many areas in which the U.S. government is badly or insufficientlly managed.
Yeah, well, who's fault is that?
Not a good idea
Sounds a bit expensive.
Sounds like they're dropping the consumer market
So the worst offenders are becoming more PC because they don't feel totally free to say any old shit anymore.
Nah they're just saying the same old shit, and automation has made it boring
:-) History is not your friend
But you can never prove if they actually do. Besides, the NSA, et al is tracking everybody anyway, so what difference does it make? Just crap flood the system with chaff and let god sort it out.
Guess all our rights are privileges now.
Well, that is the idea, no? The content is hardly controversial.
