    AI = algorithm(s). Calculator != algorithms, thus not an AI duh. Stop concentrating on the meaning of the word in english compare to the meaning of the term in computer science.

    You aren't talking about unit tests then if you are adding the human element of using the UX at large. If you want to test if page A should navigate to page B well then you have a problem. You know that it should or shouldn't and test accordingly.

    What part of UX/UI can't be handled by unit tests? I've written UX/UI unit tests for WPF for (insert your favorite god here) sake and many others for angular and other JS frameworks.

    What is pretty much the only way to make your brain worker better? Feed it more oxygen. How does one do that without oxygen masks? Increase your VO2 max. How does one do that? Hit the gym, lift heavy (total body exercises like squats, deadlifts, cleans, etc), plus cardio.

    I'm like this except without the automation. A superstar dev will take 10 times or more less time than the regular guy to do the same task.

    There is no way you can program yourself out of a job if you are software dev. I've automated database creation, database seeding, automatic unit/functional/integrated tests running with code deployment on a pull request, etc but you can't automate doing the actual work.

    Portable usually means cross-platform, which it is the case. Incidentally, support for FreeBSD is in its early stages but getting there.

  18. You'll have to explain to me the behavior your are describing because I don't suffer from it either using VS or Eclipse in windows server 2016 (my dev machine).

  19. I code professionally Java and .Net, Eclipse is an inferior IDE on pretty much all aspects compared to Visual Studio. The worst was IDE responsiveness, I can't stand lag and Eclipse did suffer much more than VS.

  23. He clearly was suffering from some sort of mental illness that made him strive for being a "god" in that particular video game and not care about anything else. Once that status was taken away from him, his life was basically over, not worth living and boom, he ended it with such rage and fury. He should have had the decency of avoiding taking innocent lives with him but again, he didn't care about that, only that his life mattered.


    Mental health is no joke, stop pretending it is.

  24. I judge applicants on reading them, asking them questions to see if they bullshit, tricky code questions they need to write and then ask my team to interview them forming a circle around them...because you know, they will work with him, not you.
