    the owner lost the exclusivity of use of the code and trade secrets - and the prestel case was about the equivalency or not of an electronic key vs a physical one

    This is just like the judge in the UK that ruled that an electronic key was quiet different to a physical one (the infamous Prestel hacking case) - where any "reasonable" person would say they perform the same function so they are the same.

    Was a honey trap for a senior US politician - though doing what she did under her own name when it was blindingly obvious that dad was a KGB resident took some balls (so to speak).

    You do wonder if MI5 keep an eye out for any pretty girls with eastern European accents into 40k in Cheltnham (home of GCHQ)

    Um a real IT professional would (ie one who is realy an exempt grade eg no fixed hours of work) I have seen a heated argument at a M&P union conference over the issue "I am a professional i set my ours of work i don't want over time" service.

    Many Security services do now do open recruitment look up the appropriate website - I would imagine in France going to ENA might help.

    Realy plumbing as you ment it ie domestic housing Is applying a very simple set of pre caned solutions and flogging unneeded boilers (furnaces) to pensioners :-( IT professionals are like Mech mengineers who specalise in thermofluids if you want to make a Plumbing anology

    um because trades like a plumber,sparky or chippie is a far different sort of job to an IT professional - also America in particular has some rather antiquated closed shop arrangements.

    Well as an X.400 guy from back in the day ( I had root on the Uk's ADMD)

    OSI was "hard sums" and you had to learn ASN1 just to read the specs but it did do binary well before SMTP. I don't recall a NDA but it was designed by and for PTT's though compared to the on average low quality of RFC's the quality of the standards where much higher much less ignoring the hard stuff which is endemic in internet based standards (wifi being a good example here)

    If your running the system that took and stores the pictures that is "making an image" and you are liable and the Death penalty is from the Wikipedia page on Singapores legal system (its not referred to as Disyland with the death penalty for nothing you know).

    There is lobby your MP (or what have you) if enough of them there is also in the Uk the private members bill system. And "Force a debate" what the fuck does that accomplish or mean. A debate with out a substantive meaningful motion is pointless.

    What you want to do is actually put a valid motion that the legislative body has to debate which 99% of the petitions on the Uk site where not.

    you do know what "strict liability" means in this case and as you get the death penalty for 500g of weed in Singapore i doubt that possession or create of CP would be looked on at all lightly.

    By accident this system takes a picture of an under age child with less than 100% clothing coverage - Mr Arora's system just made a child porn image. I suspect that Singapore has strict liability and very harsh penalties for such crimes.
