They will get the point. Until M$ buys the computer and pays the electric bill to run it, nothing absolutely nothing that happens on it is any of their business. They should be sued for electronic monitoring without a warrant!
If you want a Thinkpad with Linux just go to Emperor Linux. They were selling them before Lenovo bought Thinkpad from IBM. They also have Dell and Sharp products.
One copy paid for, installed on 3 machines. Guy claimed since he bought it he could do anything he wanted. The whole idea of license was something he didn't believe. Kind of like a common sense approach to the issue.:)
AT&T has always been the most dishonest phone company in the US. They lie about terms and jack the fees constantly. They used to call and offer deals on long distance that would lower your bill for two months then raise it 20% over where it was to start with.
A year or so ago a man was being sued by M$ for having one copy of XP running on 3 computers (one purchased key). His defence was the EULA was unenforceable since it was only understandable by a lawyer and nobody has a lawyer looking over their shoulder when installing software. His lawyer (go figure) did a masterful job of saying that since the average person could not understand the EULA it was meaningless and unenforceable.
A lot better than sitting in a state Senate voting present to avoid tough decisions, or being tied to something important.
Deal with it, the Dems put up another candidate that is to far left or to weak for most of the country. The far lefties here and elsewhere keep saying Bush's third term. Well most of the country would rather have that than Carters second!
Specifically how is he going to pay for the socialist nanny state he proposes? Gut the military and cut intelligence budgets like Clinton? That is exactly where his surplus came from. Look what that got us (9/11)! He will tax everyone into bankruptcy.
Every time a Dem has said he will raise taxes on the "rich" in the last 36 years, my taxes go up. I have yet to exceed $50K in any year!
You skipped the part about her Executive level experience as a Mayor and a Governor, which is a lot more than Obama has. Keep trying, though it won't help in Nov. There are just enough questions about Obama to cost him the election and he didn't help himself with that farce last night. He could have used that speech to lay out specific plans for what he wants to do and all we got was more vague philosophical platitudes. Not good at all.
When I still lived in Southern NM I saw greedy morons make El Paso Electric Co. become the 3rd electric utility to go bankrupt since the depression. I'd say the case should be obvious even to a graduate of the local public school system.
De-regulation is good, with caveats. If you (Directors/CEO/MGT) act like greedy morons we will lock you up for 20 years and strip you of ALL assets! The airline example is really bad because they have never changed their business model and it is more broke dick than the recording industry in today's world. The last thing we need is more power in Washington. Actually it's time to take some back. That is what the Second Amendment is really about.
You need to consider what happens after deregulation. Look at the fact that the airlines are in and out of bankruptcy with such regularity that they need a revolving door on that court. Any industry that is heavily regulated will founder when things get relaxed. Go back to the 80's and the S&L's if you need any proof. Trucking went to hell in a hurry too.
Why anyone wants Federal control of anything is beyond me. Think about it, the only thing that thundering herd of dumbass has done in the last 30 years that worked "as advertised" is the Do Not Call List! Put them in the power business and take more money from our pockets for them to waste? I don't think so.
Remember, if you make less than $169,000 a year, you have NO representation in Washington!
Does Google still accept the old Doubleclick opt-out cookie?
doubleclick.net TRUE / FALSE 1920499288 id OPT_OUThome
it is the only cookie that loads when my browser starts. Of course Firefox had to change with 3.0 so I can't read the cookie file now, dumbasses. Why does it have to be sqlite instead of text? It doesn't get saved anyway.
If everyone voted against every incumbent for three elections we would at least have new people that might just might, actually do something that needed to be done. We need to enforce term limits at the ballot box. The Constitution makes NO provision for a permanent ruling class. Those morons work for us, not themselves, and not each other, like they are doing now. It is time to remind them who is boss.
This just re-enforces my thoughts that everyone should vote against every incumbent in Washington this year. It is time to fire every member of this childish thundering herd of dumbass!
That whoever wrote those ads will never be allowed to inflict that kind of stupidity on the world again.
The two ads I saw made less sense than Seinfelds show ever did.
Can't wait to see the reaction to Moveon.org, DaileyKos, Huffingtonpost, and MSNBC being listed as no truth to be found sites.
What makes you think they don't collect anyway? Do you really trust anyone at M$ to care about you?

A computer store here never activated it's demos. Just reinstalled every month. No hack needed and files can be backed up.

Does anyone know the outcome of that case?
That means the ISO/IEC is as honest and useful as the UN.

There are some services they do just fine with. The record on industry regulation is a joke. Look at the airlines and banking.
Not really, Congresscritters only represent the tax bracket they are in and the higher ones they aspire to.

Flamebait huh? If I'd said the same thing about Fox it would be +5 Insightful. Makes you wonder about the double standard being so obvious.

NBC hasn't done any honest reporting on anything in over 30 years. Why would anyone be surprised at this?

Then figure out a way to ban lawyers from Congress or Legislatures since it's a conflict of interest.
