There are no liablities associates with software. Even if there is no EULA specifically saying this, how would it make me liable if some software I wrote wiped your boot sector? I didn't ask you to use the software, I just put the code in PD. If you were dumb enough to get it, compile it and run wit without unserstanding it, tuf luck!
Now how is that kid from Kabul who emails Katz on his C64 be able to view webpages?

A couple of years ago a similar thing happned at United Airlines. Basically, a technical glitch in the United Airlines internet reservation system is reported to have allowed 120 customers to obtain round-trip tickets between Chicago and Bombay for between USD$139 and USD$179. The tickets would usually have cost more than USD$999. After bitching about it for a while, United gave in to customer demands. That's what I call a good fair company!

The last thing I want on the beach is some dweeb cellphone going off 'cos his download of the latest Britney video is done. Just enjoy your vacations and leave the office crap at home.
Hmm..... downloading titney videos is something you do at work? I want that job!;-)
I am a student at the University of Dayton and the school has flat out told us that they don't care what/how much we download as long as we do not upload.
They told us thay will monitor outgoing network traffic and abusers (read file sharers) will be punished (read take away your T3 conn.)
This might not be the mentality of college students everywhere but it certianly explains people on my campus.
Just my.02 rupees.
You miss the point.

We just finished watching the free Harry Potter movie they are offering. Question: Does this make me a criminal?

Anyone else see the similarity to the Tom Cruise/Speilberg movie that is comming out based on this premis?
You arrest someone before they commit the crime...
Yeah, but think about all the lost advertising revenue.
For each search you do, Google gets to display a banner to you + those related advertisers links on the right of the screen.
Now multiply that by 2 million a day. And by the number of users who will do this.
Yeah, thats what I though...
