It really is that simple. About the only tricky thing probably to people is to put the card in. After that you just touch the candidate you want. Of course, it would be interesting to have a picture of the candidate on the screen, but given the way some rural areas are, that may not be a good idea...then again, hopefully you know something about the person you are voting for.

But there are a lot of companies running in fear of the SEC over these non-physical things right now.

At 5mph going up to 50mph, a second is still a second right and if it takes me 30 seconds to go from 5mph to 50mph, it takes me 30 seconds, my vehicle 30seconds and the earth 30 seconds.

So if it takes me 1 day to accelerate to the speed of light (cause of the new spoiler on the back of my honda spaceship :) a day has passed for me and the earth no? I guess that's where I get confused.

Look at the Lightwave and 3dsmax benchmarks, where code optimized for the P4 kicks AMD's butt.

How likely is it that Visual Studio .NET 2 or whatever is P4 optimized? How likely is it that Adobe and other big players start optimizing their code for the P4?

Depending on how you feel about the above questions is how much it matters what AMD can do with less transistors.

Then again, cost is also a issue, and Intel just can't win there.
