    I don't understand why anyone would choose a name like that for a technology that depends on market acceptance...

    It's like naming your kid "ZxykliaBou De Amafenxsezerly" and hoping they get elected to senate when they get older. You really aren't helping them any with that name.

    I get excited about custom cases... the problem is I seem to have a different opinion of what makes a "custom case". I'm looking for one-of-a-kind designs, interesting shapes and design. I don't care for the uberlame "lets saw a couple holes in the side of my case, bolt on some fans and then take some pictures of it."
    Get out the fibreglass and make something already! Where are all my artist casemaking brethren out there????

    The interviewers come accross as a couple of ass-kissing starstruck groupies. No wonder he was pissed off that they called him.

    Here's an example of the quality questions... "YEAH SO HOWS THAT DOG OF YOURS DOES IT SHED HAIR MINE SHEDS HAIR IT PEES ON THE CARPET TOO I BET YOURS DOESNT PEE THOUGH YOUR DOG IS COOL YESSIR OH YES."

    Next time get barbara walters to do the interview...

    ...the claim so settle your ass down and read some comments.

    I think one of the issues is the length of time that went by before he went after openssh for trademark infringement. Now his letter mentions that the SSH(tm) lawyers have already been in contact with Theo et all regarding this so for me or you to say *when* this all started would be pure speculation. If it was only recently then that means for over a year openssh was openly doing their thing without hearing a peep from our little finnish wunderkind.

    You can DISABLE extra mouse buttons in software if you are too unco-ordinated to use them.

    The policy adopted by the Canadian university I work at is to let people view porn in the labs... if someone else nearby is offended by this then just ask the person to take a seat by the wall and tilt their monitor away. I know at least one course here on human sexuality requires students to view some amount of porn online. Having said that, there is certainly a distinction to be made between "You shouldn't look at porn because it is evil" and "You shouldn't look at porn because it is a waste of company time/resources in the same way playing games at work is".

    It's not your place to decide when and where it's ok to give away someone elses intellectual property.

    It really doesn't matter if it's an hour old or a million years old, you don't own it...

    I'm not trying to make everyone stop downloading ROMs but at least I am realistic enough to say "I am fully aware I do not own this and I am going to download it anyhow" rather than deluding myself with weak-ass "justifications".

    If you steal things, then you are a thief. At least recognize that and then resume your thievery. Don't say "I am not *really* a thief, I am more of a 'borrower' of items no longer in use since I only take older things".

    If they had any concern whatsoever about Capcoms intellectual property, they wouldn't have tried to circumvent the protection scheme in the first place.
    You know what? It's just as illegal to distribute an old rom that you don't own than it is for a new one. Did someone at Capcom call up the cps2shock guys and say "Hey listen, we are having a hard time deciding which of our older CPS2 titles should be released to the public for free, can you make the decision for us?" Yeah I thought not.

    It's not that I have a problem with arcade emu because I don't. But I also don't lie to myself when I download a ROM I don't own by saying "Oh it's ok, this is an older game."

    The one thing I noticed about a lot of people in the emu scene is how they look on "warez kiddies" with disdain and yet in most cases thats exactly what these people are. They run sites the same way, they trade other peoples property the same way.

    The cps2shock team is trying to cover their ass and hoping they don't get swarmed by capcom lawyers.

    Let's call a spade a spade here.

    To ensure Canada doesn't become more like their neighbour to the south.

    It's all very fitting tho, the US tried to cram all the blacks and hispanics into prisons as a mechanism of social control. Now the prisons are full and they are reaping the full "reward" of this plan of action.

    Listen jackass, they don't plop down RIDE stops anywhere and everywhere.

    You may run into one on a Fri or Sat night, particularly during party hours as well as during holidays when people are likely to be boozing it.

    As for why the cops would be searching you, maybe it's because you're white and they have it in for you...*drip* *drip*

    The specs say that player has 1.5 hours of battery life with the included lithium ion pack... that's less than acceptable for a "portable device".
