If airplanes were willing to reduce checked-bag fees, and passengers were willing to delay boarding / disembarking, the overall process could be sped up drastically. But try to tell someone in row 20 that they have to wait to get up until someone in row 30 gets off first.
The job was a waste of my talents. I was persistently bored and not doing what I wanted to do. Left, went to grad school, and got a job that I love.
Pay sucked, and boss was a micromanaging egomaniac. That certainly helped the decision.

Current one has broken LAN port, but your comment still stands. Current one is also kind of a shitty spectrum analyzer, so now I have multiple reasons for wanting an new one.
Nope. Still a spectrum analyzer. Rigol DSA1030. USB and ethernet ports. And for some reason this unit's ethernet port is malfunctioning.
Now, I've been wanting a new spectrum analyzer anyways because...well...Rigol DSA1030. But now the USB policy means that I REALLY want a new spectrum analyzer.
But how much productivity is lost because I need to use my personal laptop to transfer screenshots from a spectrum analyzer (USB port only!) via emailing to myself?
My company does basically the same thing, and as an electronics engineer that spends a bunch of time at a test bench, this SUCKS!
With the emerging (but still very small) movement to add a lot of plants to the roofs / sides of buildings, I would like to see a study making a quantitative evaluation as to how much said plants can compensate for the loss of trees.
Because the original summary was such crap, I bothered to read the report and have this information:
From 2010 to 2016, battery pack prices fell roughly 80% from ~$1,000/kWh to ~$227/kWh
From 2013 to 2017, ranges of EVs have increased. The Nissan Leaf went from 75mi to 107mi, and the Tesla Model S went from 208mi to 249mi. This is mostly due to bigger battery packs (24kWh --> 30kWh and 60kWh --> 75kWh respectively).
In 2016, the battery pack cost is still ~$227/kWh, meaning that a 60kWh Tesla battery pack is ~$13600. The target cost for parity with ICE vehicles is $100/kWh, which is likely to happen sometime between 2025 and 2030.
The article is misleading. I don't see anything regarding how Steam will refund you a *game* you've purchased and played for less than two hours, just DLC for a game.
We (CCW-ers) only get upset about people knowing because then they raise a stink about it. Where I live, there is a huge proliferation of guns and hunting, so even if people knew they'd shrug and go about their day. In a major coastal city (say in California or the New England areas) everyone would flip a shit, call the cops on me, and accuse me of being a baby-killer.

Health-related information (currently covered under HIPPA) and personal finances are two that immediately come to mind.

So....people themselves.

I specifically avoid windows-based scopes when I can. Viva la Tektronix DPO4000!
Tried it. Got denied. Forced to continue doing things that are textbook examples of security breaches waiting to happen.

By living outside the city I can avoid future "protests" which involves burning cars, looting businesses, and assaulting bystanders.

You can pry my mouse out of my cold, dead hands.
Overgeneralization, with a hint of false analogy.
And they keep saying the same thing about firearms......

Big Brother is watching you. Again. Even when they say they're not.
M60? Dang, that's some fast fapping.
