So, Coca-Cola is found to be a monopoly and for their punishment, they are required to provide their Coke and Coca-Cups to the remaining Netscup's users. Paying for this from their own pocket. This will obviously break Coca-Cola's monopoly.
Did this under Windows NT. The Icon stayed on the desktop but the system would not run very well. Kept loosing memory and requiring a daily reboot. The system still worked for other apps, though. Very strange.
I don't think you understand the basic argument that is going on here. The argument is a personal preference for the type of music one listens to. If you want to get into the detailed definitin of "lossless", if you digitize an anolog stream (i.e. music), you loose a portion of that music and can not get it back. Does this make the digitized music bad. Well, some might say it does because you lost the original intent of the music, while others might say, "Yah, but it sounds good and I don't care". Instead of arguing what is "lossless" and what is "lossy", you should argue for choices of compression so everyone can be satified. By the way, digitizing an anolog music stream is compressing that stream.
Any digitized audio is lossless. You cannot take a sample of an anolog audio stream without loosing the original audio stream. What you are talking about is a persons perception of that digital data when being played back. This is a subjective thing, not objective.
Have you head of SoBig? I believe that if you read one of the links you would find it talks about this virus. If this did not infect millions of Windows PCs, then we must have skipped 2003.
If you are in this country, you are under the rule of this government. If this is not to your liking, you can try to change it by going through the provided channels or move somewhere else in the world. THIS is your right. If you choose the later, I hear Iraq is a wonderful place at this time. There is no government and you would not have to pay any taxes. In addition, you could pretty much do as you wish.
They didn't even have to think of a way to pause, play, ff, rewind, etc. If they would use MPEG-2 as he digital stream, they would be able to use the capabilities already in the protocol. I would say that the "patent" for these capabilities on any stream, digital or analog, is already in the public domain and is "non-patentable". I don't know how they got a patent for these basic features. I agree that if they have an implemenation, this should be in the patent, not the feature itself. Well, government stupidity like this is nothing new since many communication things are now digital. It seems that they cannot deal with this type of networking.
Developing this for NT will definitely reduce energy costs for the college since the systems will be down most of the time thus, with proper management, reduce power costs for the college.
Who chooses what sort of speech is smart, prudent, and responsible? The speaker? Or Microsoft? Since they branded it irresponsible to reveal a security flaw only "days" after telling Microsoft about it, it seems obvious to me that this is a request to let Microsoft control all discussion about their security flaws. This is patently unacceptable.
This is what a monopoly does. They want complete control over their domain by any means.
Is that "irresponsible" or "impractical"? I would say that the "ireesponsibility" is on the side of Microsoft. Anyone who has ever coded a lick can crank a fix out in a few days.

"Microsoft" and "choice"..... Inconceivable!!!

"Thank you, Microsoft for standing up to my right to choose. Now fuck off."
Shouldn't that be "Now piss off."?

Hey, my uncle is Fred and he does accounting. What you talkin bout, WIllis?
I like the bullet picture idea. What we need now is an iPod taped to an F-16 as it takes off (If you break the sound barrier, can you hear the music?)
If Sony has a bunch of games to play, its not fair to the other exhibitors trying to sell actual products.
If a game is not a product, what is it?
I don't remember having an option to vote on patent laws. Did I miss something?? Oh, that's what the dog was chewing on.

develop a large energy management system
