Well, i am still wondering why no one is making an Itsy, are they that expensive???? I mean a keyboard for a PDA is cool, but where are you gonna use it? it destroys the whole "carry it in your hand and work on it with the other" If they could ever get Voice Recognition working right, I forsee it spelling the end of laptops. The lines between laptop/palmtop/PDA are blurring, proper voice recognition would mean that we could get rid of the keyboard. IBM microdrives in a PDA with a StrongArm anyone? I would be first in line!
Well, now I have 999.42 BogoMIPS of a k6-2 450 oc'ed to 500. I NEED THAT 1/2 BOGOMIP!!!!!! Anyway, the lowest i have seen is about 30 off my first linux box (486DX). Yes, it was slow as christmas.
Anyway, for linux, i have been comparing kernel recompile times for the same config. Call me strange, but I dont think you can do that in WinBlows.
Speaking of lethal weapons, here is an interesting point. If a person is shot in the shoulder with a 9mm bullet, it goes through hi shoulder, breaking the shoulder blade. A hollow point might not even go all the way through. A full metal jacketed bullet will leave a 9mm hole on two sides of them. Now, say it was a butchers knife. it would leave a 2 to 3 inch long hole in the front of their shoulder. knives are MORE DANGERUOUS than guns because with these two wounds, the gunshot is probably survivable. The knife wound is much more likely to sever major arteries and the person would bleed to death before help coule arrive.

Another point, i had someone prove this to me. He stood 15 feet away from me and i pretended to have a concealed gun while he had a knife in his hand. Before i could get to the "gun" he had already come up and was holding his fist to my throat.
OK, i just read that it takes a whole 3 meg of space for the OS. Remember the I-Opener? it has 16 meg of storage space. Does anyone else think this could be a good embedded OS, kinda like BeIA?
Does this sound like Mac OS X to anyone??? It is built on a FreeBSD kernel, maybe the next Amiga will be built on a linux kernel. Makes sense to me, but I know I am strange.
Isn't this what the DeCSS is all about? I am not sure that there are DVD players for linux, but you can try http://www.linuxapps.com or http://www.freshmeat.net. they may not have one, but they do have announcements for commercial products. PS. THIS IS NOT A TROLL!!!!!!
I would love them try to patent their version of linux. Anyone ever heard of the GPL?that renders any patent on it virtually useless. However, a hardware patent could probably come out good...
Ok, call me a karma whore, but i think the real thing here should not be making it so they cant play non-territorial movies, but lets kill this shit about "if you buy it here, you can only use it here" this stinks worse than software licensing!!!!!!
