What is supposed to be the problem with Firefox? It seems they are doing exactly what they're supposed to which is flagging that shitty AV software is doing a man in the middle attack on your traffic
That is not even remotely close to what the link actually says. The 70% figure was quote-mined from this larger context:
Almost 24% of all relationships had some violence, and half (49.7%) of those were reciprocally violent. In nonreciprocally violent relationships, women were the perpetrators in more than 70% of the cases.
So sorry, this isn't saying 70% of all domestic violence is by women. It's saying that 70% of cases that account for half of domestic violence cases are perpetrated by women. Which when you work that out makes only 35% of all domestic violence cases. A figure that is half of what you claim.
Did you really think no one was going to read your link?
Except it wasn't required. One of the co-sponsors of the bill even said so:
Bill sponsor Todd Weiler, a Republican state senator, confirmed on Twitter that the law "did not require that—and no other ISP has done that to comply with the law. They were only required to notify customers of options via email or with an invoice."
They showed that 18000 Twitter users said so. That in no way implies a majority of all users share that opinion. Methinks you need to look up the term "selection bias."
"Many" is a pretty vague term. Please do provide specific amounts and their percentages of the whole FOSS developer count. I doubt your "many" make up more than a fraction of 1%.
Reading the above comments from some of the naysayers, I get the distinct impression that they have never used it for more than a couple of minutes, or have only played with Google Cardboard.
Used both a Rift and Vive for many hours and was unimpressed by both even with the "experiences" people claimed were mind-blowing. If you want to prove the naysayers wrong, VR headsets are going to have to show sales levels growing by at least a magnitude before it can be taken seriously as anything but niche. When all VR headsets combined can barely show a million or so sales a year there's no reason to believe in the fangirl hype.
Except that the iPod was selling 10s of millions a quarter at this point in its lifecycle. VR headsets sell combined a couple million a year. Hardly comparable.
Duh. Anyone sane person was saying this for years. Only the extreme fangirls couldn't see the writing on the wall from the poor sales figures. No one wants VR because all the headsets suck, the content for them suck and the only ones that suck less are way too fucking expensive.

Can't post normal AGW this week. Hard to pass off global warming when 1/3 country is getting all time low temps.
The stupid. It burns.
dryriver seems to think Slashdot is his personal blog to post the idiocy he comes up when waking and baking.
And that has what to do with having a web browser monopoly?
Yes. They are a non-profit versus the largest ad company in the world.
What would they be abusing and why would they abusive?
Is dryriver vying to be the new Bennet Hasselton? His submissions are about as dumb.
Has Slashdot become this guy's personal blog?
No, this was just a shitty company acting shitty to hawk their shitty software then trying to act like a law made them do it.
Except it wasn't required. One of the co-sponsors of the bill even said so:

M-m-m-monster fail.
What kind of dumbassery are you spewing?
From Merriam-Webster:
Definition of their
: his or her : HIS, HER, ITS —used with an indefinite third person singular antecedent
anyone in their senses
— W. H. Auden
Wouldn't he have already sued by now? The shitstain was fired more than a ywar and a half ago.
Carmack isn't a leftist and yet wasn't fired. Oops there go your whole conspiracy.
Yeah and contrary to Palmer Luckey, Carmack didn't cost Facebook $500 million in patent infringment costs.

How do you know most people aren't using the headphone jack?
Because Apple has sold more than a couple hundred million iPhones without them over a multi-year period?
Except that years and years of showing users warnings have simply coditioned them to ignore said warning and click through them.
The only thing made in the USA are the stupid-looking cases.
So all the hype was over an "open source"... case? lolwtf?!!

Those cheeky bastards!!!

I do think that the technology has a bit more growing to do, but I, personally, don't think that it's that far off.
So says VR fangirls for years on end. It's always been just "a few years off."
Except that the iPod was selling 10s of millions a quarter at this point in its lifecycle. VR headsets sell combined a couple million a year. Hardly comparable.

Common carrier status doesn't apply to Twitter or Facebook. They are "information services" per the FCC.
