With caps on downloads, the future is pretty bleak for me working at home doing anything that requires large file sizes... granted now it is ok, but today's power user is tomorrows average user.
I agree with everything you say... but.
I think a patent should only last as long as it takes to recoup the costs associated with bringing the item to market, plus a percentage over that for profit. Then, you deal with competition. At least this way, you create something, you get your money back, you get a 'guaranteed' profit, you get first crack at brand association.
This helps the public by forcing companies to create great products because if they don't, they only get a percentage profit then they lose market share to better innovation.
It ain't perfect, but KISS.
The rats given MJ ate more and died of obesity or boredom at watching late night TV. What was nice was the authorities found them safely bundled in their Snuggies with lots of ShamWow's around to wipe up the gooey mess.
I have to agree with you on this one... Private vehicles make up such a small percent of the overall emissions. Look at rail, air, shipping, trucking industry or electricity generation and tell me that getting a couple of people to improve their mileage by a few miles per gallon, over the average 60 miles per day Americans drive, will make any real difference.
It is all a real sham to make people think that they are the big polluters and that they have to make concessions in their freedoms to change the world, when there are bigger lobbyists out there who don't see profit in changing.
Whuts t'is vah rus scanner y'all talkin bout? I dont need no vah rus scanner I ain'ts gots no dezeeze... I justs wants to rahn mah auto cad so I can fish while drivin.
Doesn't take into account the 40 accounts I have. One for each time I get tired of having too many friends and not enough inclination to actually delete them all. Create, fill, overflow, start over.
Perhaps if the big telco's spent a bit more on upgrading, widening and developing their networks rather than just pounding penny profits to shareholders this wouldn't be an issue. When are they going to realize that the people paying $35 ~ $200 a month for services which today cost about 10% of the charge are the real shareholders, and are the only real reason they are in business.
The interoperability problem is the point. It is also less expensive than losing the information in the long run... loss of trust in ones govt is very costly.
It's a freaking memory stick... bout the size of a pack of Wrigley's gum... If it were the size of a suitcase it wouldn't have fallen out of a pocket... There's your solution... Gov't systems now have special jacks that only allow data to be transferred to suitcase sized storage mediums... I'm surprised they don't have a proprietary form of transfer medium anyways.
Use the same technique I use to keep water from spotting on my Harley... Chrome is hell to polish... add a tiny bit of jet dry and use a leaf blower to blow the water off... Granted you may want to use a compressor with a vapour trap but more, faster air is better... then let sit for a few days as above. Of course this assumes that your actually open up the components to get every nook and cranny.
This surprises you? Try thinking a couple years into the future by looking back a bit. 5 yrs ago, how large was the average image size (kb) you sent by e-mail to a friend? Now look at the same image size (mb) today...
So, multiply that by x number of frames for a movie (not accounting for compression) and think what happens in 5 yrs when you want to watch TV over the internet because that is the only way to get the selection/services/features you want or are accustomed to...
Right... I ask again, what part of this surprises you? The fact that they want to currently make themselves the one stop/only shop for this future service by taking out the competition, or the fact that they are putting bandwidth limits, which now seem somewhat reasonable but within a few years will be comical?
Well actually, they were going to go with 5 cores but in the end decided that the sixth one would be needed to run the cooling and fire suppression systems.
I have the mac version called iShot

It means make it in China, distribute everywhere except the US, hide when apple comes knocking, business as usual.

Zorg is behind this...

I was thinking this too... stumbling was my thought... or at least stubbing toes on occasion and hoping for a tittie grab.
At which fucking point can you come out ahead while making less money?!
At the point where you work under the table for cash...
my first thought too. lmao.

Well at least there will be loads of good gear up in the AH real quick.

There are three candidates?
make something idiot proof and they will just design a better idiot.

Oh the invaluableness of that retort is the reason you are endowed with such a member number. LMAO.
