As many others have commented, the strong part of a Linux distribution is the operating system, not the applications. So, a project like LINE will most likely not encourage users to migrate to Linux; Linux applications are too weak and unfriendly for most Windows users, so, if anything it will discourage users from seeing Linux as a viable desktop solution.
This is a bit off-topic, but why are you exiting with a value of 1? Any non-zero value indicates that an error has occurred. God, I hope you never work for me.
Might be a bad idea to depend on a company with an equally crappy buisness plan. If you don't think it is a crappy plan, explain how they will ever make enough money to reach the point where they can do research in addition to development.
The only really cool feature about these handheld phones is that you can sync your addressbook. Right now, if I were to lose my cellphone, I would lose quite a few contacts.
Here's something I tried to post: an article on MSNBC (already grounds for rejection) talking about how VALinux is being investigated by the SEC. Haha! Gee, I wonder why this was rejected...
IE - pretty standard Windows - easy to figure out if that's what you've been using. Horribly crippled interface for managing bookmarks. Just Horrible. And I hate how they're stored, too (each URL as an individual file, though that's a personal preference).
I actually find bookmarks a lot easier to manage in IE. If you avoid the "Organize Favorites" and go straight to Windows Explorer, it is much easier to manage because you treat them as files. Treating everything like a file system is the UNIX way and one of the things UNIX and Linux zealots rave about. So hah!
Man, remember we're supposed stay away from Europa. It's not ours.

From what I understand, GTK-- is on the way out, being replaced by Inti developed at Red Hat. Inti is a documented C++ framework for GTK+. I don't know of any application written for Inti, but it is a space to watch. Also, I believe it was developed because of the immaturity of GTK--, and because corporations really want to develop for GNOME, but want to do it in C++.
Most news broadcasts are at 6:00p or 11:00p. I simply cannot get home by 6:00, my work keeps me until at least 6:30p or 7:00p. At 11:00, I better be sleeping, otherwise the next day is going to be pretty rough.
So, for me it is all about NPR. It is something I can listen to in my car, or over the NET and get news that cuts to the chase. NPR also provides intelligent discussions about current events that, for the most part, are interesting.
So, for those who face similar time constraints, tune into 88.5 (and no, I don't work for NPR:)).
Well, at least in Windows there is some documentation. Compare the amount of documentation in Windows to Linux. Also, most people look to the how-tos to do something in linux, not the accompanying documentation with the program.
This is a little off-topic, but it just happened. The absolute worst with Netscape is when you are looking at the bookmarks, and it crashes (it cannot connect to the server). Then, you have the backwards arrow cursor, and you cannot select anything else. The only option is to kill the X session, or wait 10 minutes for Netscape to timeout.

Look at memory prices over the last 10 years. Who would have thought that you could pick up 64MB of SDRAM for $25.

That's why Ritchie built /dev/null. Just setup a filter...
Is it just me or are the font sizes absolutely huge?
...when it was called D.A.R.Y.L.
Worst tech jobs. If it was for all jobs, janitor at an adult arcade would probably be number one.

When I heard comic books I knew it was going to suck. Man did I hate this movie. What a waste of $9.50.
And we'd have three different groups doing the exact same work!
What's wrong with post-it notes and a pen?
Microsoft's next generation consumer OS, condenamed Whistler
Did anybody else read this as condemned?

C is the language of Linux
Actually, C is the language of modern kernels (with a little assembly in there for fun :P).

This is all speculation. They will not know until they raise the ship and actually investigate the damage.
GTK+ is available for Windows, so shouldn't it be possible to run Gamelon in Windows. It would only require a little effort to get it going...
commonness of willingness to RTFM
