No, it's not more about tax money than a man's rights. It's more about a non-punishment of paying a settlement out of tax payer money instead of some kind of repercussions against those who violated a man's rights. For the most part, the government doesn't pay for their abuse when the repercussion for a crime is handing out "free" money and hoping the other party shuts up about rights violations... you pay for this and the abuse goes on.

    Fixed that for you.

The fact of the matter is that most people who discuss science don't know jack shit about the science. Sure, they'll repeat what they hear. They will embrace the science if their party of choice embraces the science. They may even be right doing that but they care little about the science itself. Sadly, this will probably never change.

But the fact of the matter is that it is working. Yes, someday it may blow up in someone's face.... fine. But for today it works. For today people are buying crap content in volumes previously unheard of. For today people are not wising up. Most aren't caring at all because original content isn't really that hard to find.

I'm not saying what's right or wrong but rather what works. The OP presented the idea that content matters more than picture quality. I'm suggesting that content isn't the highest held quality of media since the market clearly shows that people are willing to pay for rehashed story lines.

You ripped the CDs? Real Floyd fans rip the vinyls.

I know this post is meant tongue in cheek but I've seen a couple of posts pointing to the idea of Floyd having exceptional sound. This is plainly not true. PF is fantastic, yes. PF is much more involved than most of their peers, yes. PF is an audiophile band? Um, no.

I love Pink Floyd. I really do but Floyd has plenty of flaws in most of their recordings. Many of their recordings come off as abysmally dated by virtue of the recording quality. I think Floyd got their reputation largely from people who wanted prog rock without having to listen to Jon Anderson's voice. When it comes down to it Yes has much better sound engineering and much more complex music to offer. Not that Yes is a better band but they come off in spades with all the virtues that everyone likes to pin on Pink Floyd being the masters of.

Again, it's nothing against Floyd but they weren't the pinnacle of sound engineering and complexity in rock. Sad but true.
