Well written dialogue can be very successful at drawing the user in and creating a suspension of disbelief. It can overcome cartoony or 3d polygonal looking graphics and having to use a keyboard and mouse.
Example
Man: "I put on my robe and wizard hat....uh oh going limp!" Woman: "HAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!"
Well my sister works in a bio research lab, and she has done all the testing herself and written the entire paper herself...and the Professor gets top billing. I think one time she didn't even get credit because she was still an undergrad..yet she did all the work and wrote the whole paper..
Sometimes the professor acts more like a manager is just concerned w/ the progress of the schedule or research than the actual research...
Hey I also use Surfcity!I had a 1.5/384 static ip for 40 a month and moved to a 3/768 dynamic ip for 45 amonth..but the kicker here is that they forgot to modify my account so I still have a static ip...when the change happened I switched my router to dynamic and I got no internet service! I had to remain on static to get it..woot!
Now if Surfcity would be the ISP over Verizon's FTTP network that would kick all kinds of booty
I've had my cable modem go down as well as DSL go down for several days because the server was configured incorrectly and everyone in tech support assumed it was on my end and my fault. It sucks, I am jaded
It's not only when the power lines go down..but when their servers fail. They lull you into a sense of security because you think "oh it should never go down because my power never goes down"
Plus it's relatively new technology. I bet there will be horrible times if you ever need to call tech support.
Well since installing SP2, the add/remove entries for all the other little hotfixes were removed. So I assume this means they were rolled up into the service pack which makes sense. Therefore I just deleted all the uninstall directories for those little suckers leaving only the one for service pack 2
Home theater in a box is nice for the masses...but at least it doesn't make the size of the system any larger than doing it piecemeal.
With portable devices..integrating them together either means making it HUGGE (PDA phones? urg..ever see sidetalkin?:P ) or compromise.. (ie really crappy digicam)
Hey..if they can make a Wireless phone/PDA/digicam/mp3 player that is the formfactor of my small Samsung flip phone, w/ a screen that somehow folds out to be the size of an Ipaq, a 3-4 megapixel cam, w/ a good DAC and mp3 decoding chipset...and also have very good battery life, doesn't weight a ton..I'd buy it...
Next year MSFT will release SPF15 for those needing additional protection. SPF 30 and 45 to follow for those extremely pale nerds who never go in the sun
Let's see..the first half of this year..I can't remember one single PC game that I wanted to play. The last game I wanted to play on the PC was Far Cry.
Could it be that all the games that came out sucked? I predict the next press release will say "PC games sales surged in the latter 2004 but I dunno why!" Of course you have to look at the games that were released in context of the hard numbers. mm w/ Doom 3 and hopefully Half Life 2 coming..the sales should shoot up!!
How about the most fuel efficient 4 door seating for 4 w/ trunk space, radio, air conditioning, that meets federal safety and crash tests?
Than watch those MPG numbers plummet. Add to that must have respectable performance numbers (ie it must not be so slow accelerating as to cause a hazard on public roads)
BRING MONEY
this made it on slashdot????

From the description it seems like a UPnP software...but Windows already supports UPnP so it must be something else

Public Doman do be related to Bayle Doman?
With XML based source code, my SLOC will rise a billion times!!

A PDA on my phone just makes my phone bigger/bulkier..no thanks.
I can fit my phone in my pocket, I dont want to have a huge slab of metal in my pocket, just a small thing that is portable and unobtrusive.
If I wantd a PDA I would have bought one..same w/ digicam and music player.
Anyway integrated devices are usually inferior to their standalone counterparts.
Who's with me? Keep those devices separate!
I'm sure there is a winamp plugin for sound normalization.
a lization&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0&start=0&i e=utf-8&oe=utf-8 shows me several
In fact http://www.google.com/search?q=winamp+plugin+norm
Doesn't Far Cry use Ogg as well?

That is all
they should also be required to perform similarly to a road car in various traffic condition and speeds

That's a real contest.
