    Most of the job losses in Europe will volutary,
    US will be involuntary. Europe has better worker
    protection. Some consider that good...but many
    consider that a main reason Europe will be losing
    jobs in the future.

    Someone is going to have to explain to me why you
    need 20-10 vision to see a stationary golf ball
    less than 6 ft away.
    They certainly don't need to see where it lands,
    caddies, marshalls, fans, etc can do that.

    this rate I was going to run out in 2012, now I should
    be good until 2050! More if I bothered to erase the
    mail in my sent folder.

    Do people really have 250MB of mail?

    It helps to have a windshield, makes you more
    aerodynamic, less parachute affect. Helped alot
    on my 482lb vulcan.
    Lets face it, this isn't a true motorcycle, but
    still cool for in town commuting.

    Back in the "good" old days, you use to be able to
    buy a gun from sears catalog. Every kid had a 22.
    Gun violence was rare except by gangster types.
    So what has change since?? Violent movies, games,
    etc is one, more single parents is another, less
    hands on parenting is another. Gun violence is a
    social problem, and will not be fixed by making
    guns illegal.

    I remember an interview with Bill a long time ago,
    when he was only worth billion or so. When ask what
    he would do with his money when he died , he said donate almost
    all of it to charity, with only a few million left
    to relatives. He felt money should be earned.

    This was before he was married, his wife seems to
    have gotten him to open up the wallet before he
    dies.

    actually, places like the Chernoybl, new mexico,
    pacific islands where all the nuclear testing was done are
    very much alive, just no humans.
    If you are a enviromentalist, you gotta love nuclear

    Ok, so someone may be able to get a fake id.
    Do you lock your car, your house? Why, someone
    can pick the lock??
    Its called a deterrent, nothing more.

    If you want to travel anonymously, try the bus.

    BTW, no where in the constitution does is say you
    have the right to be anonymous. If a LEO approaches
    you and asks for ID, and you can't provide one, they
    can detain you. Thats before the patriot act.

    And the patriot act is only law because it hasn't
    been tested yet, where is the ACLU?? Be nice if
    they spent less time on their secular pursuits and more time living up to their name.

    Look how much the top researcher makes, and how much a CEO makes of a loser company, SCO comes to mind.

    Every superpower before US has fallen, it may take 50 yrs, it may take 300 yrs, but it will happen.
    Personally, I blame it on the lawyers, like leaches, sucking the life out of the US.

    Its interesting to note that since UK and Australia have pass strict gun laws, that violent
    crime has gone up. It appears criminals have ignore the new gun laws, what a surprise.

    Also, UK has more cameras per square mile than
    the olympic village, so monitoring by big brother
    is just not for the internet....

    Apple really needs to deal with this internally. I cannot believe that at the very least they just fire the individual. What do they expect to gain?

    How about no further leaks, Apple is going to sue
    the employee, his wife, his children, his parents,
    his friends, all very public.
    They don't have to even win, this is simply a case
    of making an example of 1 employee. Want bet there
    will no further leaks?

    I have same setup, I use a 486-33 to act as both
    the firewall, my intranet nameserver and dhcp server. The modem gets 250KB, not a problem on my
    machine even using ISA cards.
    I don't run ftp, telnetd, lpd, or anything that
    I'm not using, get the latest bind, have it listen
    only on the intranet side, ditto for dhcpd, run sshd if you need access via the internet side.

    The police have a right to ask for your id,
    if you can't provide a valid id, then can arrest
    you, otherwise, if you were a wanted criminal, why
    would you ever carry an ID?
    The officer doesn't need a legal justification,
    ever hear of DWI checkpoints, no legal justification there either.
    Philly is part of the United States, just because
    we have more freedoms, doesn't mean we are totally
    free to do anything we want.
