Most of the job losses in Europe will volutary, US will be involuntary. Europe has better worker protection. Some consider that good...but many consider that a main reason Europe will be losing jobs in the future.
Someone is going to have to explain to me why you need 20-10 vision to see a stationary golf ball less than 6 ft away. They certainly don't need to see where it lands, caddies, marshalls, fans, etc can do that.
Good thing, cause I'm up to 2% of my 250MB limit, at this rate I was going to run out in 2012, now I should be good until 2050! More if I bothered to erase the mail in my sent folder.
It helps to have a windshield, makes you more aerodynamic, less parachute affect. Helped alot on my 482lb vulcan. Lets face it, this isn't a true motorcycle, but still cool for in town commuting.
Back in the "good" old days, you use to be able to buy a gun from sears catalog. Every kid had a 22. Gun violence was rare except by gangster types. So what has change since?? Violent movies, games, etc is one, more single parents is another, less hands on parenting is another. Gun violence is a social problem, and will not be fixed by making guns illegal.
Enron/Worldcom corruption started on Clinton's watch. Bush may not be a good president, but blaming him for everything is insane, including things that started before he was president, hell lets blame him WWII and WWI as well. Who is moding these posts anyway?
I remember an interview with Bill a long time ago, when he was only worth billion or so. When ask what he would do with his money when he died , he said donate almost all of it to charity, with only a few million left to relatives. He felt money should be earned.
This was before he was married, his wife seems to have gotten him to open up the wallet before he dies. Tom
actually, places like the Chernoybl, new mexico, pacific islands where all the nuclear testing was done are very much alive, just no humans. If you are a enviromentalist, you gotta love nuclear power.
Ok, so someone may be able to get a fake id. Do you lock your car, your house? Why, someone can pick the lock?? Its called a deterrent, nothing more.
If you want to travel anonymously, try the bus.
BTW, no where in the constitution does is say you have the right to be anonymous. If a LEO approaches you and asks for ID, and you can't provide one, they can detain you. Thats before the patriot act.
And the patriot act is only law because it hasn't been tested yet, where is the ACLU?? Be nice if they spent less time on their secular pursuits and more time living up to their name.
Thats right, its the right wingers. Bring Al Gore back, if he invented the internet, he can invent more cool stuff.
Forget all the crap, comes downs to 1 thing, Money. Remember you can't do research on a shoe-string budget anymore, takes lots of money. Look how much the top researcher makes, and how much a CEO makes of a loser company, SCO comes to mind.
Every superpower before US has fallen, it may take 50 yrs, it may take 300 yrs, but it will happen. Personally, I blame it on the lawyers, like leaches, sucking the life out of the US.
Its interesting to note that since UK and Australia have pass strict gun laws, that violent
crime has gone up. It appears criminals have ignore the new gun laws, what a surprise.
Also, UK has more cameras per square mile than
the olympic village, so monitoring by big brother
is just not for the internet....
Apple really needs to deal with this internally. I cannot believe that at the very least they just fire the individual. What do they expect to gain?
How about no further leaks, Apple is going to sue
the employee, his wife, his children, his parents,
his friends, all very public.
They don't have to even win, this is simply a case
of making an example of 1 employee. Want bet there
will no further leaks?
I have same setup, I use a 486-33 to act as both
the firewall, my intranet nameserver and dhcp server. The modem gets 250KB, not a problem on my
machine even using ISA cards.
I don't run ftp, telnetd, lpd, or anything that
I'm not using, get the latest bind, have it listen
only on the intranet side, ditto for dhcpd, run sshd if you need access via the internet side.
The police have a right to ask for your id,
if you can't provide a valid id, then can arrest
you, otherwise, if you were a wanted criminal, why
would you ever carry an ID?
The officer doesn't need a legal justification,
ever hear of DWI checkpoints, no legal justification there either.
Philly is part of the United States, just because
we have more freedoms, doesn't mean we are totally
free to do anything we want.

We have these today, they're called ultralights.
Not quite, the software division has always been quite profitable.

Do people really have 250MB of mail?
Not sure what most people imagine, but I got
50 mpg on a 750 Kawasaki.

Sea level is likely to rise two feet along most of the U.S. coast.
Probably going to rise 2 feet EVERYWHERE.

The big bang is just a theory.

I believe Franklin is quoted to say "If a man is willing to give up liberty for security, then he deserves neither"
subjects says it all
