I think it should work well for scientific monographies as they contain a lot of references to each other, but don't usually get reprinted. [citattion needed]
"some countries have socialized healthcare (France, UK, etc.), some don't (eastern European countries probably)."
Even they do. They ACTUALLY HAD SOCIALISM until 1989. That includes healthcare and free higher education. And these weren't dismantled. (I'm not sure of Bulgaria, as it has really low taxes now.)
The funny thing, that in Hungary it was the Hungarian Socialist Party* (MSZP) that wanted to privatese health care and higher education. (And the so called "right wing" was that resisted it). No wonder they fall from 48% to 17%.
* From 1949 to 1989 there was only one party, MSZMP. In 1989 it turned into MSZP inheriting all its real estate. Through privatisation the former communist became millionares, and started to push a libertarian agenda.
"It's been repeatedly shown that improved life expectancy and a higher standard of living lowers population growth" Well, then you can surely provide a link to a research paper.

"In European countries (all EU member states), international treaties only have to be ratified by the minister of foreign affairs, and take precedence over the constitution of the signatory countries. Obama's simply trying to destroy the sovereignty of America the way Barosso succeeded in doing to the European countries."

Well, I think you are mischaracterising the Eastern-EU system. (I'm from Hungary.) 1, You don't lose your right to vote even if you don't finish primary school http://hu.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%A1laszt%C3%B3jog 2, however you can't get a driver's license 3, even if you don't finish primary school you don't get classified as "mentally challenged" 4, pupils aren't assesed every year (ok, there are some PISA tests, but you won't get to see its reasult), but there's entrance exams for highschools, and there's "maturity exam" at the end of highschool; some schools indeed test every year, but they aren't required to do so by law, and these schools are in minority. 5, you were right about the CPS stuff (and parents can be jailed too, for that as well) 6, there's a possibility to homeschool (mostly those use this possibilty who want to do sports for a living); but you have to take exams then every year (During socialism there wasn't really such an option though, but there's a notable exception: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%C3%A1szl%C3%B3_Polg%C3%A1r
Of course in other Eastern-European countries things might differ, I just wnated to note that you painted things with a too general stroke.
