    It's like evolution: survival of the fittest.
    If you think about it, maybe it's not that bad: it certainly gets around the mythical man month problem. (Especially that devs don't live close to each other, so you get slower communication than in fulltime teams.)

    It wasn't until after the bombing of Afghanistan began in October 2001 that the Taliban finally did offer to turn over Osama bin Laden to a third-party country for trial, in return for the US ending the bombing and providing evidence that Osama bin Laden was involved in the 9/11 attacks. This offer was rejected by George W Bush stating that this was no longer negotiable with Bush responding that "There's no need to discuss innocence or guilt. We know he's guilty."

    The word that was left out was "yet".

    On the other hand the Pentagon killed half a million civilians (collateral damage) in war based on false premises. Sorry, Assange wins.

    The members of the comission are elected by the EU council, which is composed by prime ministers of member states. So they aren't random burocrats. However I would prefer too if they would be elected by EU MPs.

    Most European countries don't have state church at all. (Hungary doesn't have one for sure.)
    UK and Finland seems to be exceptions. I don't even think Italy has a state church.
