In fact the iDevice user would know the difference between a file system and a file handler. And I have for years wanted a system where we can get rid of the file handler. iOS is the first mainstream system to do this. Sure you can consider it a 1.0 on that part.
But heck file handlers sux big time. The biggest obstacle to overcome for raising our productivity with computer systems.
The file system on an iDevise is HFS+. And I'm an iPhone user, so I qualify as iDevice user.
Ahh the irony, we are accused for not being able to handle a file system while the accuser doesn't even know what a file system is.
Or, people that are smarter than that to put emphasis on more important things.
Ok I agree multitasking is a pain even on iOS4. However, if all apps where allowed to multitask, shit that phone of mine would be rendered useless in a second. The iOS way of multitasking is a smarter way. But few developers seem even to understand how to use it, as you still can't multi task everything you want.
I would put overrated, but preferred telling you why.
Youtube is accessible trough a browser, so you free to use it, no fees.
Apple just asked that the app makers would have in app purchases for content they have other distribution models for to the same app. True in app sails would benefit 30% to apple. But your not forced as a customer to use that channel if you don't want give apple a cut of it. Nor you could still get content from other source. Which means content makers could have different pricing from different locations. It's not rocket science.
Well i'm not impressed with them at all, if linux where foresighted why they have filename extensions. OSX has actually got backwards on that compared to old macos.
Aero, Quartz Compiz etc well, it's about time they got it out. But innovative? Compiz, is a word play for friend btw the word is kompis.
well neither am i a developer, but an apple user I do follow their keynotes.
I don't know about you but I was around when Flash 1.0 came out. It's has always been quite a piece of shit.
So yes it is a feature, to get rid of it.
nope it does not, rather the opposite

True, but in my experience the fanboy-fawning reaction is likely in direct proportion to the anti-reaction.
IMHO excluding flash is one of the best features of iOS.
You may have a different opinion.
Well i had flash support way longer than that on my Nokia, but guess what it's by default disabled and so I kept it.
Yep to complicated, why press source when it can be done automatically :P
Totally depends on model.
never had a memory issue with my ios device. I had though on some other with removable memory.

I know but didn't mod.
Well when you use that API consumers pay Apple, Apple pays 70% of that to who ever it goes to.

So to be informative, be it.
You need backups... so with mac TimeMachine.
The others, well u probably have some PITA commercial softwares to use.
IMHO, using iPhoto on a Mac with a timemachine backup. And yes one set in the cloud as FB.
True you can use a other system and other software than iphoto. But I find that to be the simplest way to make sure your memories are safe.
I didn't need them either for file identification back then when MacOS didn't have filename extensions.
It's utter useless peace of a name.
The idea is that life started elsewhere where the environment was correct for making it start.
But you'll absolutely correct whit that it only moves the problem elsewhere.
Digg on slashdot and theregister you'll find what you search for.
Really wanting references is modded -1?
Why would the experiment don't be valid.
But truly you can do as the scientists and know it's problems, that needs to be solved.
No they can't or could but that is bad business. One rule(ring) to tame them all. That keeps thing simple and profitable at low prices.

i'm not limited with my Apple stuff, they actually promote standards, which is better than free.
Well to my knowledge he did change his mind on that one.
