Can I play downloaded MP3 files on the Nokia 5510?
Yes, the Nokia 5510 can play MP3 files in protected format. Copies of the downloaded music files are added to the Nokia Audio Manager database. Nokia Audio Manager encrypts the music files and downloads the protected MP3 format to the memory of the Nokia 5510.
MP3 files can be transferred to the phone fine, but getting them off again might be more tricky... the phone might not even be capable of playing MP3 files and rely on them being preconverted by the music manager.

But couldn't you argue that the only reason that *this* planet is special, is because it's the only one we have? If humans were spread across hundreds of different planets, why would one of them being fucked up, as you say, be such a big deal anyway?
I'm not saying fucking planets over is a good thing, but I think you've got to decide whether you'd prefer humans or planets..
CD-Rs used to cost £5 a piece, so it was barely worth copying, say, singles onto them.
Now I buy them for 20p each -- surely the same thing is going to happen to DVD-R eventually? Then the MPAA/whoever is going to be really upset. Especially if you can do a bit by bit copy of a film, including the encryption, onto another DVD..
People seem to be complaining that "this isn't news".. no, it's not the kind of thing that you'd see on your local TV news, but it's "News for Nerds".
Which is, as I'm sure you're aware, what this is all about. Why should I care that you don't like this story? I didn't like the last one, do you care?
I wish I even had the chance to have an unreliable DSL connection.. you don't know the meaning of the word 'unreliable' until you try browsing the internet with a mobile phone....
Anyway, this guy seems to have a fairly complex horror story about his DSL problems.
Basically, the system libraries are all replaced with versions that use the PowerPC for anything remotely complicated, while any older programs just go on using the original processor.
So, what's to stop me setting up my own transmitter to overload a given area (say, the 70,000 square miles around my house) with a million fake planes?
Or what if I know the id code of a plane before it gets to me, and I start broadcasting that I'm that plane? What happens when it arrives?
Dreamcast on broadband! You wanted a faster connection, you got it. Connect it to a cable modem, DSL modem, even the Ethernet LAN in your company. It's network standard and allows for smoother video phone quality, state of the art graphics, and quick downloads of the hottest games.

So? It's hardly a yellow breed either, but no-one's pretending that it is..
This was flight 587, headed to the Dominican Republic.
An American Airlines A300, reportedly. CNN says it originated from Boston, (two of the WTC planes did also?).

Actually, the NASA page says:
The engine provides 695 newtons, or 156 pounds of thrust.
Weird. I wonder where 640 came from?

.net only features, but I bet SMB will be around for a long time to come.

I don't know. But then again, I don't know who Ralph Nader is either..

"Unix is no longer an operating system"
Fair enough.. but in the same line, he says:
"An operating system is the software that comes with a computer (or OS distribution)"
So a distribution is separate from the OS?
"Today, an OS is not just the kernel and a few command line utilities. It may include a.."
Does the word "may" there not mean something? As in, that is perfectly possible for it to _not_ include them?

Just call:

And you're well on the way!

These sound a lot like the PowerPC boards that have been used to keep the Amiga alive (well, almost) after the 680x0 chips became old news.
There's a load of links at http://www.suite101.com/linkcat egory.cfm/amiga/4027 if any one's interested.
