I'd say the majority of those defacements are because of mistakes or bad design by the websites developer. I've made a few of those mistakes myself, but caught them before anyone else did.
If it was a vulnerability caused by Apache or the Linux kernel, you'd soon hear about it!
As long as they can point accuratly, it shouldn't be a problem.
Things in space inevitably drift a little, but the beauty of digital cameras is that you don't have to do the exposure all at once. You could pause, re-aim the telescope then begin again.
I've seen all these things in many other languages. Some languages have there own unique way of messing up on ya!
The reason they all have these problems is simple! Programmers make errors. No language will ever prevent that. No matter how simplified it gets, there will still be conflicts, buffer overruns.. etc.
btw, you never mentioned what programming language you now use?
It's about time someone sent a mission there again. It is in many ways a more interesting planet than Mars, but I think because people know that you can't land there (for long) they are less willing to send missions. No chance of landing == boring for public. But if the 'volcanic pressure cooker' idea is correct, that would make Venus the most violent planet in the solar system! (Io dosen't count, it's a moon;-)
A shame there will be no lander like Mars Express. It wouldn't have to be expensive, because it won't last long. But they should at least try! Maybe they should consider a balloon instead of a lander, keep it up in the cooler upper atmosphere where there might just be life.
Anyways, very exciting news! Your right, there is loads happening right now!
What I'd like to know is why the UK google has removed the sites also. The Canadian google is the same.
Are these international based Google's served from the USA?
Yeah, I'm sure most all toasters are using multiprocessor support!
Not all of them.
Would you like some toast?
I've built around 7 or 8 of these myself
They are great ain't they!
Just curious, are you using those little Morex cases, or standard ATX? And have you had any problems with the onboard LAN not receiving packets?
You can see my house from here!
To quote a famous game developer: "When it's done."
There on the stairs, right there!
Slashdot isn't based in Europe, so I doubt they would join the demo. Would be nice for them to do so anyway, show there support!
One can hope!

By the way, the parent post is modded Funny. Why is that?
Same reason dolphins are always smiling. They know something we don't.
They will soon be needing LONG exposure times.

Troll? Honest question! Sheesh
SMTP is a fairly simple protocol, so why are there so many security problems with mail servers? Am I missing something obvious?
Nah, a nosey boss would simply make sure he could watch every desktop remotely!
Mabye it's just my sound card?
Yes.
What will the RIAA say?
What will the MPAA say?
Who gives a crap?
Hint: The last A stands for America. No matter what they may have you believe, neither of these organisations mean a thing outside of the USA.
Thankfully!!
DIVX? Euuu! Better to use XVID.
An on-topic soviet russia joke!!!

To be honest I had never heard of RPG until yesterday!
;)
Then again, in the late 80's I was using a Commodore 64
just think how COBOL and RPG were the most popular languages of their days
.. can't do it .. I just can't imagine COBOL being popular.
*thinks*
No
buffer overflows? Segfaults? Library conflicts?
.. etc.

I hadn't heard about Venus Express before!
;-)

PRO-SCO
Sounds nasty. Is there a cure for it yet?
I hope it's not contagious!
You may be right... near the start where you see the three 'matrix' screens, it dosen't look all that healthy. Not the nice smooth code as before.
I am building Boeing 747-400 type "My Cockpit " for flight simulators
"My Cockpit"? I bet he has a briefcase with the label "My Documents" on it.
