Once again, slashdot reveals its pro-Microsoft, anti-Linux bias. Two stories, one about a new Linux kernel release, and one about Dvorak commenting on a not-quite-as-new Windows release. Which one gets a full story on the front page? I'm getting tired of all the Linux-bashing on this site.

I'm sorry, but you're underestimating the impact this filth will have on our youth. Imagine the impact of polygons on children too young to handle geometry! Imagine further that these demonic planar paths are imposed on the image of the first source of sustenance that the child can remember!! We should be promoting video games with round breasts only; polygonal breasts should never be viewed by children under the age of 18 (or 16 if they've taken an AP geometry class).

I have evidence for God from many people I've met in my life, as well as people I've read about. Just because I can't represent my evidence with data is no grounds for me not to believe it.
Why can't you? If you have evidence, surely you can explain it? Certainly whatever you learned from "many people" can be represented as "data." "4 people I know have testified that their life was changed by God" -- that's data, though it may not be very convincing. Stating that there is evidence but you don't really know what it is, however - that's the same thing as stating that you have no evidence.

f the US military were politically allowed to "take the gloves off" as it were, we'd have the mess cleaned up in 6 months. See "insurgents" going into a town or suburb? Smart bomb the town. None of this "door to door" stuff. Roadside IED go off and kill US troops? The neighborhood will suffer as a result. Teach the populace that all harboring and capitulation with the terrorists won't save them any trouble, and that they need to take care of their own problems if they want the US to leave.

Another problem with this is, what good is a fake boarding pass? Remember, the 9-11 hijackers used real boarding passes; all this can do at best is save you a few hundred bucks -- hardly a big deal if you're willing to kill yourself on an airplane to make some kind of point. The biggest problem I see is, let's say you get your fake boarding pass and you manage to get onto the plane with it; then what? Where the hell are you going to sit? Pick an empty seat; then when the real passenger shows up, your forgery will quickly be discovered; pick a full flight and you're gonna look pretty obvious standing around in the aisle when it's time for the plane to take off.
