  1. Matrix Reloaded on Weta Prepares to Render LOTR: ROTK · · Score: 2, Interesting

Thank you. Matrix Reloaded was perhaps the worst movie I've seen in years.....At times i felt like I was back in my Philosophy class, with all the meaningless drivel they kept spouting out.

If they wanted to make a action/kung-fu flick then they should have gotten actors that are actually convincing at it. I've seen orange belts with better skills.

Has a nice ring to it, don't you think? Also, I hate children. If I am ever elected for public office, I will enact legislation prohibiting procreation, because God told me to do so. God also told me to take all existing children, and lock them in dog cages until they reach eighteen years of age. And what God says, I do! Would you like a jar of urine?

I suspect that soon, good search engines will just be a (hopefully) inexpensive pay site, where you pay $30 a year and can use that search engine.

But can you imagine all the bad possiblities if they were able to actually tie all your searches together and see WHAT YOU searched for? Sure they can do it by i.p. or cookie, but an actual account, probably verified by credit card?

On the otherhand, a search engine is a basic need to use the internet. And I'd be quite surprised if some of them didn't start heading this way, REALLY CHEAP though. Incidently I don't know exactly when google.com became my ONLY search engine, replacing altavista.com, but it happened. Probably because of the excellent results (not perfect though) and the light interface.

On another note, I get the BEST referrals from google.com to my site. I get the MOST referrals from msn.com to my site. I say BEST from google.com, because the people that find my site through them, most likely want to see my site, and end up staying. MSN's referrals are usually pretty broad topics.

That's strange, i find it a very easy environment to develop quickly for. An ASP/COM/IIS environment works fine for me. Could you explain what is so terrible about it?

I recently wrote a cgi application , and had it up and running in a secure environment under Apache within hours. It took me several days to get it to work correctly under IIS,

AAAh maybe that's your problem. I haven't had to use CGI in years, why not write it as an ASP application? Maybe i'm overlooking something, that required it to be cgi, vs. (ASP, PHP, servlet, etc...) I thought it was a known fact that iis was never too good at cgi, I don't think they ever touted it as such either. CBW.

Personally, i've developed in perl & cgi (3 years), java servlets (not much) and have now been developing in ASP/IIS for a few years. I've found ASP/IIS to be the easiest, quickest, and quite powerful. But maybe thats just me.
