Why would anyone buy a PS2 if he can have a PS3. I never understood that. I would never play a PS2 game on a PS3. Why? For what? And if you have PS2 games it is highly likely you do have a PS2. So again, why?
I am 32 and I like twitter. I am an engineer, but I do not have any engineer friends. At all. All my friends on twitter have some art connection so I always get news about shows, exhibitions, etc. None of them twitters "what they ate" or other useless things. It is more like RSS with a possibility to respond.
I know that 99.9% of twitter is useless distracting stuff. I just remove all people who just twitter boring stuff and that would just clutter my twitter client with useless messages.
Twitter is a tool, for some it is useful, for others there is no use at all.
You can't hear ANYTHING else than that. This is not "typical South African tradition". I can't even hear the commentators. It's like a permanent Bzzzzzzz from start to end. It doesn't change. Ever. Never. This is not supporting, this is disrupting.
Normally there are drums, and some horns and chorus and stuff. This time there is fucking nothing. A permanent Bzzzzzz cancels out anything else.
I watched two games, and I not really looking forward to watch another one. This bloody Vuvuzela gets on my nerves. I just hope they turn down the volume from the stadium and crank up the volume from the commentators. Else this whole Worldcup is just a big Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
For me it is the other way around. The people who know or use MySQL are in the minority. Everybody I know uses mainly PostgreSQL (unless one shitty OSS project requires MySQL).
Why don't you monitor all the post and telephones too? I mean, someone could write about CP, or even talk about it... I mean, c'mon! What is this half ass shit. I want everything monitored. I want cameras in my room and on my shitter too!
And I hope you screen the magazines I ordered too, please!
And while we are at it, please make laws so I am not allowed to be in the same bus or train as kids. Ever. Better I have to keep a distance of 500m.
Do not eat alone. You will be the wired guy. Do not be all so quiet. You have to have conversations. I have the most interesting conversations during smoking as you meet a lot of people from other departments from your company.
But also take my advice with a grain of salt, I do work in Japan, office culture is very different here.
Well Nvidia was never a problem to install. Just download the file from their homepage and run it. Never had a problem, even with my non-stock kernel on my debian box here.
Actually I used facebook to stay in contact with my friends back in Europe or America. I almost never use facebook to "talk" to people who leave here. I meet them, in person. Because then you can talk and laugh and get drunk. None of which you can do on facebook.
I might share pictures of such an event on facebook, but that's about it. Web 2.0 will never replace the feeling you have meeting friends in person. Plus there is always a chance you can pick up a girl.
I would rather create a raid1 + hotspare for a mysql server. write performance is bad in raid5.

no thanks to HDMI, Display port should it be.
Because suddenly all the nerdy geeky people in the basements realize they have 0 life and no friends. So they do what they can do best. Troll.

Well none of my twitter friends posts what they had for breakfast or when they take a dump. So yes, it's the choice of friends.

Unless you go google, no.
hehe, I hope iphone will have a "grandma" setting like the japanese phones were you can make the text ridiculous big :)
Well, high resolution displays are the standard here in Japan. Since several years (about 480x850 on 3.3 inch).
It just looks amazing for japanese. Kanji are way easier too read.
But again, Apple makes it look like they are the first ones, but they are not.
nah, there it is just shitty.
At the beginning postgresql might look more difficult, but once you understand it, it just works better.
I personally, after several mysql failures and problems, will never trust that again.
On the long run PostgreSQL is the better choice (imho).
just the command line is soo much better. every did a ^C in mysql, where i throws you back to the shell? Makes me very FUFUFUFU everytime.
For me it is the other way around. The people who know or use MySQL are in the minority. Everybody I know uses mainly PostgreSQL (unless one shitty OSS project requires MySQL).
Now I feel much more safe. Thank EU for protecting me from myself!
I just read today, that the japanese Police lost track for about 220 child molesters. So, probably, as usual, there will be much talk and no action.

We can do it. we can fight CP. Yeeeah!
probably they should outsource that to India or China :D
Why is this marked troll. The bombings were a show to the Ruskis to tell them "Guys, we have nukes, you don't, so don't try anything stupid".
It was a prep for cold war.
I doubt. By the time the a-bombs were dropped Japan was already retreating. Tokyo was firebombed (which was worse than the nuke).
A-Bomb or not, the end would have not changed.
Who is us? You? In my office most people smoke. Nobody ever complains about this, because, well, they are no pussies here.

Yeah, but do you really need ECC RAM on a home machine?
watching HD porn of course!
