Considering Boieng's history I don't think this will be used for anything other then defense. This could be a breakthrough in defense and the way we handle defense. Soon missiles may not be used at all and prevent terrorist attacks.

  3. Re:No. on Is Plagiarism In Literature Just Sampling? · · Score: 1

I think all sampling is bad. If an artist cannot make their own work and have confidence for it to stand on its own, they don't deserve to be an artist.

Oh boy, at least they hopefully won't botch the amazing 3D effects...I hope...never mind... I give up. I'm probably not going to see this movie. I didn't like I Robot and I won't like this.

It's the end of an era I guess. The Xbox ushered in the era of online gaming. Now every major game touts "online capabilities".

I know that, I just expected a little bit more, maybe a new icon or something. I guess I hold Sun Microsystems to a higher standard since I use a lot of their software.

  9. Nothing That New or Innovative... on OpenOffice 3.2 Released · · Score: 2, Informative

Right on the heels of MS 2010 beta. Doesn't appear to be much new things, it's just faster. Still. Openoffice is the best office suite out there in my opinion.

  10. Re:Pro-piracy on Man Fined $1.5 Million For Leaked Mario Game · · Score: 1

I'm pretty sure most people who comment about pirating are just talking a big game. It's like when a teenager brags ab out doing drugs, they probably lie or exaggerate.

I hope Apple gets sued because of AntiTrust laws, but its highly unlikely. Apple made the software, App Store, Phone, so it's perfectly in their power to deny Apps for no reason. Since Microsoft essentially has a monopoly with Windows its far more important for every browser to have a fair chance. Also IE is has tons of security holes so that was part of the court's reasons.

  13. Re:When will they learn to dance? on Six-legged Robot Teaches Itself To Walk · · Score: 1

I think robotics have made exponential leaps in recent years. Now, Dean Kamens FIRST competition has high-schoolers making advanced robots. Pretty soon, with innovation like this happening every day, I'm sure there will be robotic "Public Workers" soon enough.
