Programming is HARD. Maybe not for people posting here, but for everyone else. Very few people are going to have the time or ability at their disposal to get to a high enough competence level that they'll gain the insight he's talking about. In fact, I bet that a little knowledge is even worse as that might inspire a false level of competence; e.g. "here's my idea, should be easy since it only took me 2 hours to figure out 'Hello World' in C#" BTW, I saw plenty of these kinds of posts on work posting site.
Because NASA doesn't want you to know the TRUTH! That "probe" is on a laundry line coasting over a movie set in Area 51! Know why the video is so short? They ran out of hangar floor space that's why. I've got a cousin in New Mexico he told me ALL about it...
Both trilogies had great endings. RotS really tied things up well. A live action show will only reduce the series as TV can't compete with cinema. This isn't like Star Trek upscaling to the movies. Downscaling a franchise based on otherworldly special effects can only lead to disappointment.
Ruined for you maybe. I really liked the prequels. It's fun for geeks to slam them, but they sure do draw a hell of a lot of sales and eyeballs. You're going to find out what "ruined" means when Disney starts milking the franchise for whatever it's worth.
I'm still skeptical about a purely head trauma cause for football CTE problems. Pro football has been around a long time and guys have been getting concussed for decades. There seems to be a recent pickup in serious problems.
My suspicion has always been that steroids HAD to have something to do with this because 1.) only some players are affected and 2.) a body builder friend from college who told me about all his roid-raging friends. But, I think there've been recent studies showing no correlation.
This is a common refrain of old school guys from before the helmet or facemask era. The game is simply too fast to remove helmets. You *might* slow down play a bit, but you won't stop the incidental head collisions that cause a lot of concussions (guys hitting their head on the turf, getting kneed, etc).
Maybe your code really does suck? I've had several instances of dismissing criticisms as a younger programmer only to understand more clearly why I was wrong later in my career.
I'm for gun rights but it's pointless to cite these stories because you're 22 TIMES more likely to use a gun against someone you know. Throwing more guns into the mix will definitely stop crimes, but you're going to create FAR more inicidents than you stop.
Had a great conversation with my parents over break about the access little kids have to games like Grand Theft Auto. My 6 and 7 year-old nephews said THEY had played! Parents just don't seem to understand that "video game" doesn't mean Pacman and Asteroids anymore.
Additionally, it would seriously help out with the maturity level on multiplayer maps.
I really don't care about extra capacity for SSDs. I just set up a new laptop with a 256 GB SSD for the OS and 2 750 GBs in a RAID 1 for safe storage. So long as the SSD is big enough for the OS and a few apps installed for speed, I'm getting my money's worth. Now, if the SSD craps out fairly quickly warranty or not, then I have a problem.
I see people recommending some esoteric, technical solutions to these tests to dazzle the interviewer with the scope of your knowledge. I'd avoid that since you run the risk of outsmarting your testers. In some cases, an incomprehensible correct answer is the same thing as a wrong answer.

Alienware M18x
This would work best as a system to return mined materials back to Earth.
I do see a bunch of square pits dug to the Northeast...
Nah, this is what a pig farm looks like from orbit.

Guys like Marshall Faulk, a running back who took a ton of hits, never had a concussion.
He left a suicide note saying that's why he didn't shoot himself in the head.

The professor said that IBM has taken up a defensive position with patents. IOW, don't F with us and we wont start a patent war with you.
This works for me. Wait for her to fall asleep then fish them out of her purse.
I started having ear hairs sprouting in my late thirties.

We're thinking of the same quote. If you give up rights/liberty/freedom for safety, you won't get either.
So, you're saying you're LESS likely to report shooting at an intruder than at a family member in an argument that gets out of control?
The NRA is a gun industry lobby posing as a gun owner lobby.

So, you want someone to design a 1000 man-hour database to apply for a job in an Oracle shop? These tests are about practicality.
