Check out this php-based gallery software. They used to have an entirely wiki-based doc site, but it looks like they switched to something else.
IN general, wikis are good, but you need somebody in charge of checking revision constantly and maintaining style consistency across pages. Users tend to make a mess of the wiki site.
I tried it, and it kind of sucks. This would be the exceptionally high quality software that mac users enjoy? Come on. 1) You can barely resize that window. 2) No skin support 3) Preview a song in the music store and change to your library: the music stops, you basically can't do anything while previewing a song in the music store 3) Incomplete context menues 4) can't maximize window, no fullscreen option for the visualizer. And I have been using it 5 minutes!!
I wish they'd released an API and left it to the open source community to build it. Now that's a great idea
I don't remember the details, so somebody can fill in but in Italy there is a law that protects citizens from high voltage power lines, and forces the electric company to move those lines underground or elsewhere if they pass over somebody's house.
All of this based on pseudo-science claiming that magnetic fields generated by power lines may be cause health risks.
Even the vatican was sued a couple of years ago because their radio transmitters were on top of a hill next to an elementary school.
It is a little crazy. I hope I am not offending anyone (I probably will) but you don't learn much studying for an MBA, it's only a piece of paper you need to get certain jobs which he probably can get anyway, having proven leadership and management skills on the field. I'd have better understood if he wanted a degree in ancient greek.
We are responding to your request for information about browser compatibility.
We apologize for any inconvenience, but unfortunately, our music downloads are only compatible with Internet Explorer. Your browser must be Internet Explorer. If you browse the site with Netscape, or any browser other than Internet Explorer, you cannot purchase and download music. The reason is that your music files are wrapped in SDMI encryption, which is unencrypted by the license that you download when you download the music file. The license download requires an Active-X control, which is only compatible with Internet Explorer. Without it you cannot download your license and your music stays encrypted and unusable.
Again, we apologize for any inconvenience.

mod me down as troll if you wish, but I have one question: why doesn't he aknowledge that Perl has reached its goals long ago and give up development. Seriously, what's the point?
The main problem for me would be that the audio quality of a standard 128/192 bitrate mp3 is too low. You should consider, or convince the label to distribute low quality mp3 for free, and then charge for highest quality files.
Also to save bandwidth, you should push ogg files, which are smaller compared to a same quality mp3

Is this real?

That does not help much
Come on , this is insightful? The parent poster clearly didn't read the answer.
And here is their reply

What do you mean, just use the standards, no reason to spend the extra time and money to make sure the site works with Internet Explorer
Here is the link to complain. Unfortunately you'll have to load up IE on win to use it.

If I have to chose do I download openoffice or staroffice? Do they bear the same relationship as mozilla and netscape navigator?
maybe you're right but it seems to me there is a market for an ISP that doesn't keep logs. Sure you lose something but you gain privacy.
How long until a provider shows up promising to delete log files every day? Even better, every hour?
>If only the largest distro was so permissive....
can somebody explain this sentence to me? I am not sure what he is talking about.
You could improve the presentation by adding a short summary of the case and a link to the transcript.
it would also save you bandwidth
