    Yes, stupidity is being illustrated here, but not by the Dixie Chicks. George W. Bush moved to Midland, Texas, when he was 2 years old. Most people are going to identify with the state they spent the vast majority of their lives in, not the one that they have no memory of living in because they were a baby.

    There are women-only universities, health clubs, vacations, domestic violence shelters, and hotels. Why is female-exclusive ok, but male-exclusive bad? Did anyone else notice the hypocrisy of Martha Burke, head of the Council of *Womens* Organizations, demanding that the Augusta golf club open its membership to women?

    Well said. Women seem to be equal to men...except when they're not.

    Of course, because feminism isn't really about equality, it's about making things better for women. Compare the number of women demanding the right to vote at the start of the 20th Century, and the number of women demanding "equality" in the 60's and 70's, to the number of women who insisted that the draft apply to both sexes.

    Bullshit. Women are enrolling and graduating at rates far higher then men. It's not uncommon to find a 60/40 split in enrollment.

    One major reason is population density. How many miles of cable need to be strung per user in the Netherlands compared to the USA?

    That would explain why you have crappy choices in the Dakotas, but not in major metropolitan areas like Boston, Atlanta, NYC, etc.

    Because we'd need a hundred VA shootings a day to come close to the level of violence in Iraq? You're comparing an isolated incident to daily car bombings and attacks from death squads? Just how stupid are you, really?

    For the most part the large majority of Iraqi territory is doing very well thank you.

    Bullshit. You're more likely to win the lottery than find an Iraqi family that hasn't lost someone to violence. There are women who haven't taken off robes of morning since the war started - before they can take them off, another family member gets killed.

    The trooper firing didn't KNOW the Iraqi wasn't lying on an armed grenade or concealing a pistol he might have been trying to reach for. He did not KNOW he was unarmed.

    Still irrelevant.

    Shooting questionable enemy is historically a normal part of mopping up by any force, because taking the safe tack makes military sense.

    And in recent history, the U.S. has shown great relish in attacking military and economic targets. Guess what the Pentagon and the World Trade Center are? We don't get to make one set of rules for us and one set for everybody else. Same applies to torture and indefinite detentions.

    People who say that Windows 2000 is better than XP are either ignorant or incredibly stupid. XP does everything that 2K did and more. If you don't like the extra eyecandy, you can turn it off and make the system look just like 2K. In addition, XP is far more stable, compatible, supported and faster than 2K ever was.

    Lets see: no, no, no, no, no ,no, no and no. The only two things that XP has over 2k is instant user switching and a firewall that came with a service pack. Everything else is straight up bloat.

    "Some" is very vague. It could mean 2 songs in their entire catalog. Mac fans like to believe it means most of the songs.

    "Apple fans" is very vague. It could mean one or two people in the entire computer using population. Anti-Apple fanboys like to believe it means most people who use Apple's products.
