    Digital format counts as licensing, since there's no physical media to distribute. Therefore, there is no "first sale doctrine" when applied to digital formats. Don't like it? Stick to physical media.

    Heh. :) I started watched Index after having seen Railgun, and as you say, it's just not nearly as interesting. Even the 4 episodes or so with the side characters came off well.

    Those are from the Facebook Social Plug-ins that sites can choose to run. If you're logged out of FB and go to the site, it won't show you anyone on your Friends list. It's not an App on FB at all. http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

    They already do. The traffic in Beijing and Shanghai was heavy and semi-chaotic when I was there 5 years ago. However, they all seemed to know how to drive with 3 across on 2 lanes and just get on with it.

    India I'd be more worried about: they tend to drive against traffic on highways at night.

    Angry Birds on iOS asks to use Location Services. I have no idea why, there's nothing site-specific about the game. It also costs $0.99, so it's not like they need geo-targeted ads to support themselves.

    No, what you're buying on iTunes is a license

    Same thing if you buy a record album. You get a license for the music that is tied to ownership of the physical good. It's been like for decades, but no one seems to have read that part of the liner notes. Hell, it's usually printed right on the label in the middle.
