The star is only 15 light-years away, in the constellation Aquarius. Its two planets are of modest size; one is about half the mass of Jupiter, the other nearly twice Jupiter's.
I send a comment in on how I will not use there service until there is Linux support, heres there response.
Dear Joseph,
Thank you for contacting us! At this time Starband's product range, through
a partnership with Microsoft, is currently only configured to operate in
Windows based environments. Support for other platforms is under
consideration, so this situation could very well change at any time; please
check our website periodically for any updates. Once again, thank you for
your interest in our product.
Regards,
Rhonda

I hope they start jailing more spamers. People ask are they a problem ? YES!
Besides the fact that there very annoying, they cost people money. Bandwidth, higher load on mail servers, time (which is money), buying/testing/developing anti-spam apps.
Plus, do you know how many veru important E-Mails I have lost becuase of spam spikes. Suddently. out of know where I get 500 messages (99.7% spam) Pushing all of my good email and needed email into the trash can.
I hope they start jailing them more, that should start causing it to taper off.
"In other news today, 17 'spammers' where crusified, 45 more are scheduled this week'...
Understandable.... but... If you don't inforce your righrs to your property for such a long time, then when everyone is using it, what right do you have to protect it ?
Apples bank account is running low and lower by the day. So, why does it not supprise me that there doing it now.
Look at the patents on.gif format. For sooo many years everyone and his mother as used it. Then when there bank account gets low, you guessed it. They try to sue.
Plus, I belive software patents are BS. Hardware patents, sure! When is the last time you seen anyone patent a story in a book ? Same concept.
If you respond back with bad comments on any of my posts. I will fine you $5,000. If you moderate this or any of my posts down, that will be a fine of $10,000. If you don't moderate this or any of my posts up, thats a fine of $20,000.
Belive or not, I have been looking for this for a LONG time. I couldn't remeber who published it, since the last time I saw it was on a BBS.
Anyway, thanks/. for posting this!
How much would BeOS benifit from it ? A LOT! Not just from little bits and peaces it would "borrow" from other Open Source OSs. But, from open source in general.
People would start contrubiting back to it.
I have used BeOS, and I find a few things they do intersting. I use Linux full time and would consiter installing BeOS via vmware just to play around with, IF it was open source. I am sorry, but for ~$80 to buy it does not impress me. Why should I use it over readily avaiable open source OSs ? until (succeed) try { again(); }
I am very faithful to companys that support Linux. I have Q1, Q2, and Q3 (plus, doom, wolfenstein, and a few other hidding somewhere in the house) Yes, they are all orginal CDs. (or floppys).
Support me, I support you. Its as simple as that.
I am just asking for a Linux client, then I will buy the Windows version.
Look at it this way, its a fee for the pain I have to suffer rebooting into Windows....:)
Its another attempt by M$ to cover there customers eyes with a blanket. If slashdot published a serious flaw in Windows. I would know about it, outside of that. I would never know, nor care.
We had a developer for phpGroupWare start learning the day he was a developer. Needless to say, after 2 weeks he was kick ass.
Find a application you enjoy. Start sending in patchs, after a while either you'll be asked to be a developer or ask them. Just beware of certain projects out there that don't want other developers. Theres is quite a number of them, I learned the hard way on about 10 of them.
I could care less if I had to buy a Windows version and download a Linux client.
I bought the Linux shrink wrap version and would buy team arena. But, if there isn't a Linux version at all. I will make sure to hit a warez site to get it. Don't bitch at me for not buying it. I have a new personal policy. No Linux version, no money, and thats that.
Same thing goes for future games. I am big time into games, and won't put up with it.
Lets face it, this was a big gaming companys first attempt at Linux. Linux is still young on the market place. Give it time....
Apperently, Sony doesn't like Linux that much. They told me I am not using Netscape which I find very amusing.
The browser you are currently using is not supported at this time. Only Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers are supported at this time. We apologize for this inconvenience, but please feel free to explore the AIBO site with the above approved browser or stop by at a later date when your current browser may be supported.
I am sorry to say, but I think its time for a code over haul.
1) Plain text passwords ?! You have got to be kinding me. For something this large I would never use plain text passwords. I would recommend looking into a common MySQL function called password(). If someone looses there passwords, create 2 fields. 1 the old password, the other a temporey field for the new one. If they rember there old password, they are logged in. If they don't, they use the temp one to login and be forced to change it on the spot.
2) You didn't change the default password ?! If this was another site that did this, we would call them stupied. I am sorry, but this is very dumb.
3) If slashdot is insecure, maybe this should be you primary concerin. Take a look at my projects code if you would like. Its a PHP API, but, it could be easly ported. Sorry, shameless plug.
Well, it could have been worse, you could have woken up and had to restore the entire database.

10 print "Microsoft Windows 98"
20 print "Loading please wait"
30 for A$ = 1 to 900000 step 1
40 print "Fatal exception error:"
50 print "Error 14 while tring to report error 19";
60 exit
Ok, so I haven't written anything in Basic in a LONG time.
