    Uh, so you're saying you're being a jackass because you have free will. GP is saying that your being a jackass is not sufficient evidence that free will exists; GP wants a method of detecting it. You also state that the absurdity of the universe that you perceive through your input methods is enough proof that free will exists, which to me seems suspect, and likely to the GP; this is not accurate enough detection.

    Exactly. I don't see how this person could have been perceived as a threat, to the sniper. Not "threatening the sniper" but perceived as a threat. Perhaps he was someone "important" in some way?

    Seems like any sort of "broadcast" method would be subject to detection. We need to launch a satellite that others can point at to "narrowcast", and avoid detection. Okay, now I'm on a watch list(tm).

    So disturbing it won't play. I saw the other one at YouTube though, at 0:13 the guy gets shot by a sniper for "picking something up". (Was it a pistol? I couldn't tell. Even if it was, was it a threat to the sniper who was hundreds of feet away?)

    In the old system. Like others, I notice a distinct reduction in the number of comments. And responding to responses is now a lot of clicking work. Is there a competitor that based itself off the previous Slashcode?

    Yeah, the proprietary "memory sticks" was the first shot across my bow; the rootkit on music CDs that to this day are still infecting people who frequent used CD stores, was the last straw. No Sony in this household.

    It's very difficult to explain why this is not a great idea when all the carriers are free to advertise how fast and reliable and unlimited their services are.

    It could be as simple as them not validating that the system improves the reaction times of inebriated drivers.

    Or the reaction time of people who are completely sober, but have a can of beer (unopened) in the car. Or a passenger who had drank alcohol. MADD statistics make rational people mad; they mis-report the truth to promote their teetotaling agenda.
