they'll probably just have a keyword list of all popular artists... I know they can filter because they filtered out "wrapster" inquiries a looong time ago, hehe.
I wonder hoe this affects, for instance, the grain structure of metals.. does it produce a case-hardening type effect for instance? Because if it doesn't, wouldn't the metal become significantly weaker?
Funny how I predicted this when the Dreamcast was first released...
and what's even *funnier* is how I was trolled for 'bashing Sega.'
Oh well, it feels good to have the last laugh.
You just don't "own" the items. You're selling the time you put into getting them.
Still the whole deal is pretty ridiculous. Who cares what we buy or sell online. I heard there's even a game in production where the in-game finances = your RL finances.
I heard that when you push that "I Agree" button every time you start EverCrack you're actually giving your soul to Verant. That's what I've heard anyway...
I remember Gopher as a great way to retrieve random information..
Sure it was ugly, not flashy, and boring, but it did have one thing I liked.. I don't remember any spam, banners, BS, or dumbshits trying to make an easy buck off of it.
That was back when the internet was a tool for information, and not profit.
If it were revived, I assure you that greedy entrepreneurs would find some way or another to exploit it and eventually make it as useless as newsgroups have become (due to excessive spammage).
I believe that bacteria can *survive in space, but can they actually survive being hurled millions of miles with no organic detritus to subsist on? I mean even bacteria need organic food of some sort, right?
So unless the comet is made out of some sort of nitrogen-carbon-oxygen mixture that could support life, which it isn't, I don't understand how any life could realistically survive that. Not to mention the fact that a comet is, to say the least, incredibly hot, and 90% of bacteria are killed by excessive heat.
Their major claim is that just because the bacteria is "so different from anything [they've] seen before" it must be extraterrestrial or strangely mutated. Please.. we're still discovering species of birds, let alone all the weird and creepy little bacterium on Earth.
The French government is completely unjustified in attaking Yahoo! about the merchandise. They could simply regulate it themselves by umm.. enforcing their damn laws... okay, so if some sick bastard wants to buy Nazi crap from Joe Schmoe, let him. Unless of course he lives in France, and is violating French Law, then don't let him. But its not Yahoo!'s responsibility to enforce this, its France's.
Yeah, obviously Google is great, but people usually use yahoo to search their directory listings... if not, then yahoo actually uses Google to search out pages..
and yahoo mail is by far the best web-based free email available.
People like to bash yahoo because it is the big dog, but I suspect that we'll have yahoo to beat around for quite a while longer...
There's one problem with this reasoning...
Most Nader voters would not vote for Gore, they simply wouldn't vote otherwise...
I voted for Nader because we live in a democracy and I want it to stay one: I want to vote for who represents my opinions, not for who i'm told to vote for, not because I was influenced by the media, and not because I am afraid of Bush.
Can you transfer funds and do critical banking over the internet? I just use online banking to check my balance and sometimes pay bills, so I'm not too concerned about security.. should I be?
The thing about Abandonware is it is (generally) software that is no longer available on the market.. So there is no financial stress on gaming companies nor gain by the Abandonware sites... so what is the point of wasting money attacking these sites?
I still go back and play all of my old Sierra games, and I hold my ground that while Graphics and programs have gotten so much more sophisticated in teh last years, it seems to me as if concentration on gameplay and storyline has decreased. I haven't gotten immersed in a game since Betrayal at Krondor. I still go back and play these games; they represent a simple and fun way to waste my time. IMHO, it seems very pointless and anti-progressive for the IDSA to attack the Underdogs Site.
There is none.. its probably not real.. I mean, logically, why would Bill gates write a Halloween memo denouncing Linux, and specifically KDE and Gnome? It doesn't make sense.
But...
Then again...
Nothing Micro$oft does makes a whole lot of sense in any other context than economic$.

EverQuest what now?
obviously you don't play

hehe what about the bacteria that was eating up the old space station a while back??

Its going to be released for Windows AND Windows?!
I'll never fail to be amazed..

Hmmm. This map is actually pretty crappy, there's one at salon.com that's good for electoral votes only... OoOO look at the pretty colors!
I guess they'll be knocking on the doors of my school library and confiscating the John F. True computer lab then...
I think left that M$ source code that I hacked in my EverQuest folder!!!!!!!!!
