As far as clones go, I've got a game called Black Penguin (on Linux) that my wife loves... I don't know how close to the real Q*Bert it actually is though, since I haven't played Q*Bert since the 80's.
And, playing X-boing (on X of course) would probably quell any thoughts you ever had about Arkanoid. Mind you I've never played it either, just going on what all the guys in my computer lab rave about.
The story states, "the Beijing municipal government bought software equivalent to Win 95 from Chinese companies such as CS&S and RedFlag."
RedFlag is China's version of Linux... now, why would China develop a completely new OS called China Windows 98... more likely they're just going to work at getting RedFlag to be completely compatible with MS Win98.
I've been using Quicken with WINE for a long time now. I don't do very much with it so I'm not sure if it has full functionality under WINE, but it does everything I need. I have Quicken 2001, and a very old version of WINE.
Not sure why it didn't work for you, but I've had no problems using Quicken in Linux.
You're right about websites, because they rarely have 'the big pipe'... but newsgroups are a different story.
I easily hit the top advertised speed for my DSL service when I'm downloading from usenet... and the more bandwidth I have, more educational material I can download from newsgroups (and there's tons of educational material there!:-))
And do we really know how this address propagated?

The Story of "Nadine"

· Score: 1
This story (and a fairly boring one I must say), seems to imply that nadine@hornet.com propagated from one hand to another, presumably by list selling.
Now, here's the other alternative.... the same person kept entering the same wrong address on countless sites.
I usually recycle the same wrong addresses when I need to sign up for free registration garbage. It's always, none@none.com, me@hotmail.com, etc.
Who really knows what happens on this crazy internet thing.
Yes, I think 'limited system' would adequately describe mine:-)
Oh well, KDE 3.0 is really nice, even if it does take more resources... maybe one day I'll upgrade, but I just graduated so I need to find a job first!
And being fake text, I wonder if the bit about how much more efficient KDE 3.0 is really true... I installed KDE3 and now my computer is using 50% memory, 50% CPU, and 25% swap, compared to 25% memory, 25% CPU and nearly 0% swap with 2.2.2... is this normal?!
I'm a big KDE fan and therefore I'll put up a hit on resource usage just to run the latest/greatest, but I'm just debating the validity of the claims.
I've always heard of it called the Iron Ring Ceremony. At least that's what we call it at Camp #6 (University of Alberta).
...
Perhaps McMaster are the only ones who refer to it as Kipling

Yes, Limewire basic has spyware, ~but~ they own that code. They can do whatever they want, not just legally, but morally as well.
....?
Neonapster is adding adware to someone elses code which is OK legally (since it's GPL), but morally

Just the way I read it.

Yea, I had that problem with Win2K. Here's how I solved it:
:-)
I installed Linux
Oh yea, by the way, you didn't perhaps notice that this was a Mandrake Linux discussion and not a Win2K helpdesk did you?
And _if_ it doesn't crash your machine can you please rip it and put it on Gnutella for the rest of the world to enjoy :-)
