Hell you can be arrested for felonies and be released back into the public in sanctuary cities. You can be deported multiple times and sneak back in and commit crimes and be release back into society.
You are block grouping a variety of people together, conflating them as a single unit and giving them a pass in doing so. You're partially why, as a group, they are causing problems, because people like yourself make no distinction between breaking the law, and not breaking the law.

I am saying the boarders should be open, but with a gate for people to register and check in as they enter legally. We pretty much already have open boarders right now, except for those that want to come here legally. As a Libertarian, I have NO problem with free and open immigration. I would accept just about anyone who wants to work in the US here. I would limit immigrants from social welfare programs for a period of 15 years or until they complete all requirements and become full citizens of the US. I would also allow fast tracking people who serve in the military or guard.
What I have a problem with is people sneaking in. But that seems to be a hard distinction for some people to make.
Its what we tell ourselves to protect us from what other people might think about us. With enough effort, anyone can gather just about any information about you that they want. Hire a PI and have them follow you around for long enough, and they will tell you things about yourself that in some cases you are unaware of.

One, the RIGHT to keep and bear arms is a right, like voting is a right. Change "gun ownership" to "Voting" and "gun safety" to "Constitutional law" and you'll start to see where the problem is in your logic.
BTW, I consider VOTING to be far more dangerous than owning a fire arm. People voting to take away my liberty and property is a huge problem that most liberals have no problem with. The passions of the people stirred is why democracies are inherently dangerous to liberty, and why we need constraining documents to control the powers of the collective.
Battery life has been pretty much solved at this point. My current phone goes 14 hours without needing a charge, except when I'm excessively on screen. It also charges to 50% in about 15 minutes. Less than an hour to 95%. Turn on Battery saver, airplane mode and life goes through the roof.
I hardly ever use it for phone call though. I prefer txting, messaging, hangouts, Telegram, Slack etc. Most all work on just Wifi, which is almost ubiquitous these days. Even WiFi calling is good enough for most things.
Instill a purpose in your kids, and they won't be bored, ever. There is always something one can do if there is a purpose. Even if you can't do everything you want, there are things you can do.
We've this generation of kids that their purpose is playing video games.
In Canada, one can also go to jail if you say the wrong thing. They call it "reasonable" free speech laws. That, and technically Canada is still subject to the British Monarchy,
