Interestingly Microsoft is starting to realize, too late, that it has been a "Windows(TM)" company, and not a technology company. The fact that they tried to tie everything to Windows(TM), is the problem. Replace Windows(TM) (with say .. Android or iOS) and all of a sudden, your whole core is gone and all the supporting products are worth less. And that is what is happening. People are realizing that you don't need Windows(TM) to get stuff done. And in fact, you don't need Windows(TM) most of the time.

And since people are realizing this, they are exploring other options. The days of being able to sell Windows 95 for $150 and have people line up around the block have long since been over. The Windows ship has sailed.

"Providing" basic needs, means they don't have to provide for themselves. And you think that is humane, but it is the worst kind of tyranny, dependance. There is a reason why National Parks posts signs saying "don't feed the bears". Why we recognize this with bears and not humans is baffling.

Taking from productive members of society, by threat of force, to provide for people unwilling to provide for themselves, is the tyranny I speak of . Do you think that is okay?

Equality of results (not equality of opportunity) which is their version of "Utopia", and impossible, and tyranny of a sort. It punishes success, rewards failure, by definition.

I believe in equal opportunity, given that is possible, in a truly fair and just society. Look, I have as much if not more problem with our current justice system as most left wingers. It isn't fair. There is too much cronyism, on both sides of the isle.

Saving money is worthless. Name a safe secure means of saving money, that doesn't lose value over time due to inflation. Stocks aren't safe, high risk bonds are not safe, savings in a bank loses value over time. In order to save, AND not lose value, you have to place large portions of your wealth into things that either are intrinsic value (like Real Estate, Gold etc).

The problem is, that there isn't any "safe" place to put money that doesn't lose value over time. Bitcoin WILL change this, even as volatile as it is. Yes, there is risk, as bitcoin is new, and there is the chance that it becomes worthless. BUT as long as the trend is upwards, it is no riskier than any other high risk investment.

IF you don't want to risk your money, great, stick it in your passbook savings account that is FDIC insured and get your 1.5% interest while inflation is 3-6%. You'll only lose 2+% in value every year.

These people hate that piece of paper, because it limits their plans and goals for their brand of tyranny. They work feverishly to chip away, and diminish it, because they cannot attack it directly. So they work on incrementalism that if people realized how it was working, would round them all up as co-conspirators of treason.

Next time, someone mentions something about wanting gun control, stop them, and ask them if they are willing to stop hiding in the shadows and ask for the repeal of the 2nd Amendment, the proper form of establishing gun control. If they answer no, then simply say to them, that they don't want legal gun control, they want to undermine our Constitution, and are traitors to their country.

IF you want gun control, do it properly, repeal the 2nd Amendment, otherwise any other form of gun control is treason. Period.

And while the government does back currency, it is only of value because that is what the government requires in taxes, and the market demands of currency. However, when you realize that the government can take your currency (as in Cyprus) held in government backed banks, run by a government backed central banking system, you start realizing the government just might be the problem. Corrupt or bankrupt government means your value in currency is only as good as your trust in your government.
