Actually, the problem I had with the MOBOs were wide spread, and I wasn't the only one having them. I spent nearly a week on the first one with HP trying to diagnose the problem, all the while they knew, or should have known, what the problem was.

So, count yourself lucky as you escaped the problem.

    Nice try though.

    Okay perhaps not with SSD.

I've built 1.5 TB systems over a year ago, RAID for $1200. FULL including swappable drives, gig ethernet and plenty 2 GB of ram to cache the system. They are FAST and reliable. They worked FIRST TIME, and have worked exactly perfectly for 1.5 years. Drives fail, we have hot swaps available. While not quite 2 TB, they are also 1.5 years old now, and I'll be replacing them in another 1.5 years with bigger drive systems.

And these, will be spares and lower priority sytems when I update them with newer stuff in a year or two.

Expensive Technology for the sake of all that other stuff you listed is just silly. It is exactly why SUN doesn't get it, and why some pointy hair boss is buys the bs.

Production quality storage means that it works for the time needed. I've actually had WORSE reliability from Name brand "Server" quality stuff. We've got HP Proliant Servers in production, and at least THREE from three different lots have all failed due to MOBO Failures. While they do send out a tech to replace the MOBO, it is really really annoying to have to tell people that the server is down because the MOBO failed. And all the great diagnostic tools HP has on those servers didn't predict nor would they fix the errors.

You can build it 1/2 as much then you can easily have two on hand, in case one dies.

oh, and how does one create a "tax cut" for people who don't pay any taxes? some 30-40% of the population pays no taxes, so the whole "95% tax cut" crap is just that ... CRAP. He's either "lying" or creating more "welfare".

Sorry, fairness is an illusion. It isn't "fair" that some are born blind, that is REALITY. It isn't fair that some are born poor, but again, that is REALITY.

You obviously didn't watch the same "FOX" news that I watched on this story. I didn't believe this girl's story even for a minute, and neither did the FOX people. They reported the story, yes, and they announced their incredulity at the "no camaras" catching a so called "attack" in a Bank parking lot. They reported that "no camaras" angle and had equal amounts of skepticism.

The funny thing is, I remember when a similiar "attack" happened to a university professor, every news agency reported it with glee that a racist attack occured, proving how evil conservatives are, and when it was found out that it was also a hoax, they barely covered it (if at all).

The fact is, both sides do it! Anyone suggesting anything else is delusional.

One term has a connotation of vulgarity (Fuck) and one term is not (Copulate). It has to do with connotation rather than the specifics.

Prostitute and Whore essentially mean the same thing, but each has other connotations associated with it.

People who don't know, or understand the power of words and equate them are doing a disservice to the uses of vocabulary.

In a previous post, it was pointed out how the word "fuck" has many meanings beyond just the vulgar form of "copulate".

Here's the big test ... if Fuck and Copulate mean the exact same thing, simply substitute the acceptable form for the vulgar one.

The moment you realize that it doesn't mean the same thing, you realize why one is acceptable and the other isn't in certain contexts.

I find the use of Fuck (and other words) less offensive and more telling that someone doesn't have the vocabulary or skill to properly articulate what they mean.
