It is fundamentally time to employ third (and fourth) party as viable options. The whole us vs. them false dichodomy is destroying this country.

And while I am a Libertarian, and would love to see the Libertarian Party actually start making some ads, I would also support the developement of a couple of other parties (Green, Conservative Christian Party, etc) just so there would be more .... pressure on the republicrats and demicans. In fact, if all the third parties got together, and produced a single ad to that effect ....

Scene, Similar to the Mac/Pc commercials

"Hi, I am Libertarian. And I'm a Green. While we disagree on many things, we both agree that the two incumbant parties are screwing up our country. It is time to take the country back from the Special Interests and start working for ALL Americans. Send a message this election that it is time for the politicians to start representing ALL of their constituents, not just those that contribute money to campaigns. Take the time, and find the third party that fits with your views, and vote for them. The new mandate: No more politics as usual"

It is getting so that no matter who is in power, the special interests are the only winners. If enough elections are thrown askew by third parties, then perhaps those elected will start listening to the other voices and come to some sort of consensus, rather than sit around throwing Google Bombs and empty rhetoric around.

Take two cars, coming off the same assembly line, one with GM badging, the other with Toyota badging, which car lasts longer, has less problems, better reputation? Answer Toyota. Why is that?

Well people see GM cars as disposible, and therefore do not take care of them, while the Toyota car is viewed as durable, and therefore people take care of them, so they last longer.

And don't tell me this isn't an issue, because it is an issue even with Jap cars vs Jap Cars. I sold cars for a living for a couple of years, and we had Honda's and Izuzus. Izuzu had the Rodeo, and Honda had the Passport. Evolution is not testable either. It is not falsifiable. Nobody can prove it, nor disprove it, at least at this point. The only thing that lends itself towards evolution is evidence, but evidence is not proof of anything.

Ever watch a CSI type show, and they take you down a long journey into believing suspect A was the person who did the crime, showing all the "evidence" that linked that person to the victim/crime? And then at the last moment, a new piece of evidence comes in that completely changes the picture?

Evidence only gives us a look at probability, and is highly subjective and subject to bias from preconcieved notions. I don't have a problem with evolution, but it is a theory that cannot be tested. It may even be the best theory we have, but to call it "scientific", to base all decisions on it, is the arrogance of mankind.

Once upon a time, evidence suggested the earth was flat, and ships sailed off the edge (visually that is what it looked like). However, further evidence came into being and that myth was quickly dispelled. Don't be so ... dogmatic ... to believe that your view is infallable.
