I like using Outline view in Word when I'm working on documentation. It makes it easy to break down the document into logical areas. I don't have to worry about styling, just which level each scetion is.
Well after several months of waiting, we finally got our ntlworld CD at the weekend. It's a free - including free phone calls - service, as long as you are an NTL telephone customer and you spend at least 10 pounds per month with NTL.
People don't want another device around. If AOL want to capture more market they should be looking at getting people on the internet through their TVs.
Here in the UK email and internet through your TV is one of the things that the digital TV companies are pushing to compete. Offered the choice between another device or getting the internet through the TV, I think the people who have not got a PC by now are far more likely to go for the TV option.
(yeah yeah I know, you get crappy resolution through your TV, and you still have to have an extra box attached to it... but it seems to be one of those things that says 'easy to use' better than any separate device)
I don't agree that the Matrix was really that original. A whole world of people manipulated and controlled, with one hero with special powers discovered to save them?... sounds like Dark City to me.
Computer geeks dressed like goths... sounds like half my friends;-)
And I think William Gibson might have something to say on the idea of a virtual world
Original, no. Good entertainment, definitely! Please let Trinity wear black PVC again in the sequels!
I mean, xmms is pretty much the best audio tool on the linux platform, and we don't get to choose it?
I thought there was more than that - there were several categories where my favourite wasn't one of the choices. I suppose they can't list everything, but for example for mailers there are a lot more around than they have on the list. Did anyone else find themselves just filling in the comment box for each category?

I guess there are other outlining tools around

Is this post a hoax? I find it very amusing!

Maybe they have some willpower.
