How is it wrong to do something about that? The fact the boss is a woman is completely irrelevant and on it's own means or implies precisely nothing.

Why can't they use standard terms of measurement like 1U or millifurlongs? Sooner or later they'll crash a probe when a contractor gets the sports rules mixed up and uses American hoop ball measurements instead of International.

Having been on both a basketball court and inside of the LOC, I can tell you that it is approximately 1/10th of a Library of Congress wide

This story has spread in the UK a lot and seems to push to a bigger reason why he left. OR it could just be more of a smear campaign; but his leaving sure does let the BBC off the hook with him and Top Gear. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/new...

Luckily Top Gear is mostly scripted. It seemed like improvisation, but that's mostly due to the script being very closely written for their real personalities; the old presenters basically played charicature versions of themselves.

That was part of the problem, the script writers didn't seem to get the memo and you had evans reading lines that were clearly written for clarkson. Didn't help he wore the same outfit every week and ran around shouting like a teenager.

I collected my music, then kinda got bored with new stuff and now I just happily listen to the CDs I already have that are all converted (by me) to mp3. It means for every band that rejects the industry there are a lot more behind that will sign without a second thought only to find them selves in the grinder afterwards. Of course it matters what the artists do. Without them the labels have no product. Ok, there's not much can be done now or about the stuff they already have but say for arguments sake new talent stopped signing and everyone self published. That would be a completely different landscape. Not saying it would be any better or worse but there's a chance the money might spread around a bit better. The labels used to be essential, now they're barely relevant but they keep pushing the same old model and resist change at every step.

Yet for every one 'artist' that realises it's a massive con and rejects it there are a thousand more before behind ready to take the arm and all.
