  1. It's TOOKEN, not TAKEN + Aliens are pissed! on Taken? · · Score: 1

Like everyone else, I've been TOOKEN (not Taken) by this miniseries. Although better than most of the crap on TV, this did not live up to the hype.

After all now, if we go with the story line, about 200 or so people won't be Taken anymore because they can't be tracked since Allie removed the implants. GEESH! I would think the aliens would be kind of peeved if their experiments got away!

  2. Re:The Worst Part!!! TollHouse cookies-Matrix ref? on Taken? · · Score: 1

I thought the TollHouse cookies was some reference to MATRIX, where if you eat the cookie with Oracle, then everything will be alright....

  4. I've been *TAKEN* too! on Spielberg's Taken · · Score: 1

Each night on TAKEN, I sat on my couch...
    Starting at 8pm....
    The next thing I know, it's 2am
    Lost track of 6 hours....

I must have been TAKEN too!

Must have been the startling special effects,
    or the fantastic acting,
or the, uh, well, it was good.

  5. John Loengard an Alien!???? on Spielberg's Taken · · Score: 1

Eric Close, from Dark Skies fame, is now an alien in Taken!!! Figures that he would have gotten *Taken* by the Grays/Hive/etc...

  7. Re:XBox: How long can it defy the laws of economic on XBox + UltimateTV for $500 · · Score: 1

Microsoft will "defy the laws of economics" as long as it takes to win. Haven't you realized this by now.

Short term gains/losses are not important - Future Market Share, World Domination - That's important to Microsoft.

  9. Re:Air Conditioning/Refrigeration is important on 20th Century's Greatest Engineering Achievements · · Score: 1

Obviously Hemos never visited "Disney World" during July-August. :-) I vote to keep A/C in! A lot of the "achievements" are "basic" stuff we take for granted every day. Without cars, alot of the other achievements wouldn't happen (or happen slowly - hey, no UPS Man!). Radio & TV and Telephone were harbringers of Computers and Internet. A/C keep us (and electronics) cool.
