Um... Let's see.... Mayor Clint Eastwood, Rep Sonny Bono, Sen. Fred Thompson, Rep. Fred Grandy, Gov Arnold Swarztenegger, and um.. Pres. Ronald Reagan.
Um... Let's see... that's 6 Cons, and how many Libs? Brilliant! Spoken like a true lefty!
Also, what does this say about Conservatives and Liberals. One thing... Liberals can do nothing but wine/seethe. Conservatives do something about it.
Attacking other nations who have not first attacked us is wrong. But by focusing on Bush pushes this moral fact aside. Is the initiating of war justified as long as the instigator isn't Bush? That seems to be the message.
Ah, if only this was indeed a moral fact...
Furthermore, how liberal it was of Bush to attack Saddam, ending a torturous regime, and thus the murder and rape of how many more thousands Iraqi's! Bush shall go down in history as the man who defeated the single largest murderer of Arabs in history. You? You'll just go down.
Well, one of the good things about AM radio, especially if you listen to the likes of Michael Medved or Dennis Prager, is that at least it's a *debate*...
Oh, and thanks to Bush (and the administration), the economy is doing better, dumb ass.
The original poster was correct. It's not the owners of the paper, it's the particular city where the paper lives. It's the journalists. And journalists are *predominatley* liberal. Whether that is a good or bad thing I leave up to you.
Gore Vidal, on the other hand, has completely lost the plot.
I was struck with just how useless the UN is during the 15 month long run up to this war in Iraq. The UN's oil for food (or more correctly; oil for palaces program) was what got me to take a closer look. Charles Krauthammer's posts in the Washington Post were very critical and cogent as usual.
This really is much more of a free speech issue then a gun issue, but I'm going to plug a great gun book anyway. There are way to many ladies spreading gun FUD.
>Clearly? No, it may be clear to you, but it is not clear to anyone else. Islamic values do more good for our society than say, radical Christian values, to use a more common example.
The above, of course, is as correct as my original statement. You've argued my point exactly. Some belief systems produce more good than others. Yes, Islamic values do more good than radical Christian values. Hence, religion *does* matter when it comes to values.
You and I disagree on Judeo-Christian values as compared to Pagan or Islamist or whatever. Fare enough. As an agnostic myself, maybe its easier for me to look at religions and make value judgements.
>There are christian priests who molest children, Islamic whatevers who encourage people to blow things up
This is a moot point because humans of every religion do evil things. However, I think you would agree that Jihad, and "blowing people up" is a more critical, ingrained part of radical Islam, than child abuse, which is perhaps more evil, is in Catholicism
"No, the values that they (are supposed to) promote make the country great. The fact that they are jews/christians makes no difference, as those same values could be applied to Moral Athiests, if such a term truly exists (the people exist, I don't know if it is an accepted group, though."
I couldn't disagree more. Clearly, Judeo-Christian values do more for the good of our society than say, radical Islamic values, to use an extreme example.
Europe's continued decline is seen by many to not only be related to the choking affects if Socialism, but to it's loss the what some call the Protestant work ethic. There was a great NYTimes article by Niall Ferguson about this, a few months ago.
Nasty notions like political correctness, which I view as a form of thought control, and moral relativism, take away any need to actually think about and compare the differences between things like religion.
Your right however, religion is good for some people and not for others. You're a master of the obvious. I would repeat however, that religion does far more good today for people than it does harm, despite the flood of radical Islamic moonbats.
Just incase it hasn't already been said 500 times, the answer is simple. Yes, gas sucks compared to the newer technologies. But it has one extremely important advantage that none of the other energy sources have, ITS CHEAP! Thank you.
Yes, but what ever you do, don't drink the soda! they have laces the sweet juice with a mind altering drug that makes you into a Mac fanatic.
$400 million is a drop in the bucket (actually, less then that, when you consider America's GDP. You really should be surprised it *only* cost $400 M.
Iraqis are free to Blog now! Thank you W!

This is the kind of non-thought one would expect from a lefty.
I know of at least 300,000 Iraqis that would disagree with you.
Bart: Oh my God, the dead have risen and they're voting republican!
See! The media is Liberal!

What's important too is that it was Gore who brought it to the courts in the first place.
Who owns the paper isn't the issue, it's who writes them. Have you ever read the Left Angeles Times?

Dude, you forgot the worst and largest bastion of conservativ media! HOLLYWOOD!!!!!
Hollywood Activism
This is so pathetic... Phil Donahue's ratings were low, low, low. And to most, it wasn't surprising. The man is a loon.
Phil's Ratings

If I have some mod points I'd use them here. The original (erroneous) post is moded a 5, and this gets a two?

Please keep Microsoft away from this!!!

Secularism has brought much more hell to earth than Religion. Can you sat Nazis, and Communists?
America's Judeo-Christian values is what makes America great.
I love History!
"Walt Disney has contributed more happiness to the world than all the religions combined."
I hate lame quotes like this. The job of religion is not to "make you happy."
What is it about this show that makes it so cool! This little gem is one of the reasons I ordered DirectTV!!!
Hmmm... how safe is it to download the kernel source from any old place?
