Just ask Chinese how they handled spitting in public before the Olympics.
Or Germans that have special squads that patrol parks and squares spying on people feeding pigeons. You start fining people 20 Euros per offense like Germans do, and pretty soon streets will be clean.
2) Release a console in the next generation that requires everyone to buy a new TV to support it.
Are you referring to the need to buy an HD display in order to actually watch HD content in... you know... HD, or are you implying that for some reason you need a new TV to watch 3-D content?
If it is the former - DUH! Same way you can SEE color movies on a black and white TV, you can watch HD content on a regular TV. But same way a black and white won't show you colors - non HD TV won't really show you that HD everyone is talking about. Particularly the Joneses from across the street.
And if it is the later - unless it is a hologram, 3-D is in fooling the eyes and the mind. So, its usually just the glasses and different way of recording/preparing the video. Same TV. Again... you could watch it even on your old, non HD TV. Only it won't look as good.
Movie industry is hoping that 3-D will be the "new colour". So, more and more movies are getting a 3D treatment. As for games... they are already 3D - just add a function that will render everything for both eyes and start creating games that rely on the actual 3-D content and immersion.
Imagine instead of 3 shows, 300 or 3000 cameras PER show, then mesh them together in a Photosynth kind of presentation. Enjoy the show in a way only available to some insects up until now.
And just imagine what could CSI do with something like that. XD
For example, Duarte cattily said: "By popular demand we've allowed you to remove the back and replace the battery," which was greeted with much enthusiasm from the largely American crowd.
Stick 2TB card in a audio/video/photo/data/navigation/internet device - record EVERYTHING. You could store about a years worth of video in more than a decent quality PLUS have a shitload of space left for everything else.
Attach a portable viewing device and make nearly every form of artistic entertainment delivery model obsolete. Movies? In theaters? Why? There are going to be so many cams on the day 0 that SOME of them must be watchable. Most people have no sense for quality anyway. And at ~1GB per movie you could have about 160 DAYS of non-stop video content on 1 card. Get a couple of cards and you could have every movie you will ever see in the palm of your hand. About a 100 cards will record your entire life anyway.
Music? Sure. Paying for it? Umm... again.. why? For a CD? You like the artist - send him a buck or two through his paypal account. Every single live event in the world will soon be captured by someone, somewhere.
Books? Scannable by just flipping the pages.
Lectures? Seen one, seen em all.
Privacy? Very soon non-existent.
What we will start seeing a shitload of as a result? Various digital watermark/thumbprint technology in EVERYTHING. And simple ways to bypass them. No jewelery zone suggestions and attempts in enforcing. Criminalization of EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE and resulting paranoia. Accountability of everyone, everywhere for everything they ever do. Personally, I would love to see something like this mandatory for politicos. Clash of need to spy on everyone, everywhere by governments with entertainment lobbies that would like to ban any and all digital recording. A shitload of amateur porn. A lot more problems with (better) identity theft. Death of keys, passwords, and any locking system not featuring encrypted data on a chip not readable by a human.
How about just getting off of that xenophobic high horse and looking into what you are saying.
Paying taxes is the cost of doing business.
It's a bit protectionist, but if there are no employed people here to pay taxes the whole house of cards falls apart.
You first throw away paying taxes as "a common thing". You have to do it anyway so it is nothing special if an H1B visa holder is paying them too. Then, you go on about how important tax paying actually is.
If you can't afford bread, you won't be paying taxes, or buying things from local producers.
Are you implying by that last line that an H1B holder will have his food imported from the country of origin - if he or she can not afford to buy it locally? Or that they will start growing their own food in parks start hunting it in the zoo?
You will be contributing money to a big pot that *I* get to say how it's spent.
Then what do YOU have against it? You get a free ride. Someone else brought his hard earned education and working potential into your country, yet can't get any benefits he does not work for (you as a born citizen are entitled to those benefits - such as unemployment checks), provides service through the work he/she does, and spends most of the money earned on local services again. Plus - pays for those benefits you get to use but he/she does not through the taxation of his/her wage.
I suggest you read up on some basic economy about how money and profit are made and about work resources. You should realize then that for the economic boost (legal) foreign skilled workers are far more profitable FOR THE COUNTRY AND GOVERNMENT than hiring locals. They leave their entire work in the country, use and pay for local resources and pay local taxes - yet get 0 return from those taxes. Local worker would do the same - only he would receive that tax money back through various social programs. Plus he would get more than the actual amount of money invested - cause that money would be enriched through the work of teachers (education), scientists (government sponsored research), farmers (governments sponsored farming programs), social workers (unemployment aid), all those people that worked building the infrastructure (you like your paved roads I presume?) etc.
H1B holder gets none of that. They bring their own education, get no social benefits and yet they add to that money pile you mentioned.
Problems start to occur when YOUR government forgets that "For the people..." part and starts acting like its a business - just going "For the profit" instead. So, instead of investing those taxes in schools, hospitals, research, social aid etc. - they invest in more money making. And best way to do that is to get more educated workers from outside and degrade local education (they are not going to hire a educated local anyway) and social programs. Cause it is cheaper to just import that educated work force, right? And if there is a problem down the road - we will just buy the solution for that cheaper somewhere else too. Or we will charge it on our platinum Government Credit Card. In other words - instead of investing in stronger economy all those past years the government will come up with a "lets dump money on it" bailout plan. Money borrowed from banks and other countries. Who again demand more money back, which calls for more quick profit and... I think it is obvious where this is going.
All that time - it is YOUR government that makes those decisions - and guess who voted for it and gave it power to do so? Not those H1B visa holders. They can't vote.
When was the last time YOU contacted YOUR government representative? Citizenship does not mean just enjoying the benefits. There is that "By the people..." part as well.
WHat about that website Obama's been running? Does it have a way to mod this guy down?

Seems to me rather like a case of a big fish in a small pond. What was the size of the pond again, 8% of all the ponds?
Now a really amusing subject for a documentary might be "Windows haters". Everyone hates Windows. Even Windows users hate Windows. Mac users might love their machines too much, and the same goes for some Linux-heads. However no-one - but no one - loves a Windows box. People just tolerate them through gritted teeth.
I smell a potential marketing campaign here...
"Don't be a pussy - use Windows." "Windows - our users don't get results handed to them on a silver platter. They have to actually work to get things done." "Windows made me a man I am today." "People that are insecure about their geek cred keep switching their OSes all the time. True geeks use Windows." "I used to fear heights and flying. Since I used Windows, nothing fears me anymore."
"The parent post is another cheap 'find something that mocks your subculture and flame it' post that will pander to Apple-hater-haters, and bore or irritate Apple-fan-haters. It will broaden the minds of none, and pass unnoticed by everyone else."
It will also be moderated as Insightful instead of Flamebait and Troll by Apple-hater-haters, just as this post will be moderated Troll instead of Funny and Insightful by those same Apple-hater-haters.

Apple computers, apple software, apple music, apple apples... Pretty soon you will run out of money, so you will be soon be forced to eating apples grown in the wild and ones you can steal at the market.
You'll be losing weight so fast - Justin Long will try to kill you in a fit of jealousy.
They still could have charged him for concealing evidence or refusing to cooperate or some other shit like that. You know... under that famous "If you don't have anything to hide..." doctrine.
No sane person that has nothing to hide would purposely use something you need special equipment and arcane knowledge just so you could chat online, right? Must be hiding something.
I did something similar couple of years ago (2005) when first torrents of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children were leaked.
Burnt a couple of CDs, and mailed them to several forum friends across Croatia (I'm from Bosnia) as 700+ MB was not yet such a trivial download around these parts back then. They've burnt copies of those and transferred them further around where they lived and to other forum members. Not sure about the numbers, but everyone on the forum had a copy in about a week.
The Times is the original "Times" newspaper, lending its name to many other papers around the world, such as The New York Times, The Times of India, and The Irish Times. For specificity it is sometimes referred to outside of (though never within) the UK as the London Times or The Times of London. The paper is the originator of the ubiquitous Times New Roman typeface, originally developed by Stanley Morison of The Times in collaboration with the Monotype Corporation for its legibility in low-tech printing.
I chop ten gallons (two bucket fulls in other words) a day scrap vegetables for my small flock using a machete. Not only efficient, but great sport! whackwhackwhackwhackwhack, big fun! I dice it up small for them then scatter it around, they love it. And ya, it's the best for watermelons, clean full slices with one chop. But when it comes time to clean a clucker to eat, back to pointy knives.
I sure hope you are a farmer and not a priest.
Although the later would probably be more fun and safer for your flock. Unless you are a cannibal priest...
Personally, being a heterosexual guy - I wouldn't date either him or his "ultra-white teeth jammed in a tanned manequinn" brother/cousin/clone.

Yeah, but I bet he can sneak out some unlocked iPhones when nobody is watching and sell them on eBay later. Or some of those $30 iPod socks.
Or, he could get a second job.
By that I don't mean a clone. I'm told that a "blogger" is considered an occupation these days.
And I heard that Fake Steve Jobs left the "industry" - that means that there is a vacancy "in the sphere" somewhere. Or is it ON the sphere?
