Does not matter. These patents are not to win lawsuits. These patents are harass competitors, and thereby restrain free trade.
Consider the scox scam, now well into it's ninth year. The lawsuit is a complete joke, a lot of people knew that the day it was filed. But the lawsuit continues to be a huge success for Microsoft.
What if Apple could use this lawsuit to get another brain-dead judge to stop Android sales for several years.
Yes, you do have to be in freakish cult not to see that Apple is abusing the patent system in order to restrain free trade. The patent system does not force Apple to file a new bogus lawsuit every day.
It sure seems like it. All these articles come out with wildly sensationalist, and misleading, headlines about Google.
And it always turns out that the over-the-top "news" is just google smearing BS.
For example that article about "Google stores credit card information in plain text" and now this. Then that was that article that made such a big fuss about the update time-table for Android phones. And all that was just yesterday.

At least the 3rd Google smearing article on slashdot today.
What is the practical impact of ICS not being pushed to your phone? Would your phone be better with ICS? Are you sure?
Must we have a "news" story every time somebody at Google, or a Google partner, farts? As in: "OMFG!!! SOMEBODY AT GOOGLE FARTED!!! EVIL!!!!! JUST PLAIN EVIL!!!! IM GOING WITH MS/APPLE NOW!!!! IM SICK OF THIS BULLSHIT!!!"
You do not have the right to have your video content posted for free.
Google is under no obligation to post your videos for free.
You are not being censored by Google. Google has no authority to do that. Pay for your own web space and post all the pirated media you want. You can also pay for the lawsuits.
Google is not obligated to host your videos. If you think hosting pirated videos is "free speech" then get some web hosting and host your own. You can also pay for your own lawsuits.
My Christmas wish for Apple is that other companies counter-sue Apple out of existence.
We would all be so much better off.

But the freakish cult of sony zealots will defend sony anyway.
I don't see that, I really don't.
Yeah, every tech company has it's fans, but Apple is in a class of it's own. Even worse than Linux zealots, and I really mean that.

Apple apologists are a joke.
Apple deserves no good will from anybody.
But the freakish cult of Apple zealots will defend Apple anyway.
That's what I was thinking.
According to reports from N. Korea; Kim usually got 18 holes in the low 30s. Lord only knows what other near super-human powers he possessed.
You really don't need to know much about the details of TCP/IP, or DNS, to understand these proposed laws.
The idea of these laws is to circumvent the standard law enforcement process.
Politicians only care about who is contributing to their campaigns. They don't give hoot about whether is right, or wrong, or smart, or stupid.

So just more of hyper-aggressive google smearing that is so prevalent on slashdot these days.

But your 3GS won't run Siri will it? So it's not exactly up to date, is it?

Congress just rubber-stamps bills that are written up by lobbyists. That has been fairly well proven.
According TFA it's a secret agreement. That does not mean that UMG can do anything it wants.
Google has no authority to censor anything. But google is not obligated to provide you free hosting for your content.
Pay for your own website and hosting if you don't like Google's - perfectly legal - policies.
IMO: complaining is one thing, posting mis-information is another.
But, in any case, nobody has denied you the "right" to do either.
Pay for your own website, and host your own content, if you don't like Google.
Nobody is censoring you. Please stop lying.
Google is not obligated to host you pirated content for free.
Pay for your own hosting, to host your pirated content, then you can pay for the lawsuits as well.
One of the few people here who has any sense.

You are not being censored by Google. Google has no authority to do that. Pay for your own web space and post all the pirated media you want. You can also pay for the lawsuits.
Please be very specific.
So if you don't host my pirated content, then are you a douche?
