I've tried the OTC nasal decongestants for a few years before giving up. I would just suffer without wasting my money. They never seemed to work for me. The neti pot worked better. I thought it was just me those pills didn't work for. Now science brings me comfort. A pox on the snake oil being sold!!
The behind the counter stuff works great but makes me feel 'speedy' and stimulated until it climaxes in a creepy anxious state. Feeling the effects of pseudoephedrine makes this chill person have extra compassion for people with anxiety. I never really understood it until using 'the good stuff'. Now I just suffer without it as well.
There is a high barrier of entry to become an ISP. Well regulated monopolies can serve the people as well as make money for the shareholders.
We could regulate that an ISP has to share their infrastructure to create competition in the marketplace, but you'd probably cry about that.
There probably isn't competing electric and water companies where you live. Perhaps it is best if we treat a pipeline of data like we treat pipelines of electrons and H20?
Anyone seen "Chopping Mall"?

R2-D2: Mall Cop
·
· Score: 1
There was this boss 80s movie called Chopping Mall about mall security robots killing some teens that snuck into the mall at night to eat pizza and make love.
This story reminds me of that horror movie. Except the teenager part. And the killing part.
Five years ago I invested in a Samsung television. It's been great and I don't want to replace it. It has the features (120hz) and size (52") I want plus looks nice on the wall. I made sure to get LCD versus plasma to help keep electricity costs down. I held off on buying a DLP because I knew I would grow tired of the volume it would take up in the living room. Research showed that the LCD panel was from a Samsung/Sony plant in South Korea with units having a 3% failure rate versus 5% for its competition. Who looks for an excuse to replace their main television frequently? Not me. If you bought something with the intention of replacing or demoting it after a few years of ownership, by all means spend your money.
Primarily, you'll want to build an honest rapport with the other person. Get inside their head a little and allow them to brag A LOT. Ask how they found the place and what they did to change it. You'll want to breeze through all of the high level and important documentation first so you'll have a baseline. Take as much notes as you can. Ask what websites/resources they use to make it easier to follow in their tracks. Explain your situation to them. It will humanize yourself in their mind and you might be able to engage their compassion for you. Perhaps they would be available to answer questions after they leave! Is there budget money for them to be used as a compensated resource? Hopefully they like the idea of helping others and putting some scratch in their pocket.
David Cenciotti noted that the plane featured “implausible aerodynamics and Hollywood sheen” and was laughably small for a fighter jet. He also commented thatthe cockpit was far too basic for a sophisticated aircraft, and appeared “similar to those equipping small private planes.... The nose section is so small almost no radar could fit in it... The air intakes are extremely small, whereas the engine section lacks any kind of nozzle: engine afterburners could melt the entire jet.... It looks like this pilot is in a miniature plane” and it appeared “nothing more than a large mock-up model.” Iran also broadcast video footage of the Qaher F-313 in flight, which Cenciotti said appeared to fly like a “radio-controlled scale model more than a modern fighter jet.” He also noted it was suspect that Tehran did not release takeoff and landing footage of its new aircraft.
I'll help you with your math. "Keep the monkey alive" > "not damaging a warhead"
I will keep my hopes up while knowing the pursuits of Iran/NK have evil alternatives. What I won't do is paint everything I see with negativity. That's not how I want to live. Please, continue living your life with your way. I will celebrate the good news when I see it.
Excellent trolling/joking! Terrible accounting.
Joni Mitchell.
Would you like to put money on this thing? I'm saving up to buy a Tesla.
His entire world view is based on either pure fantasy, or on making productive people slaves to non-productive people and calling that a virtue.
Can you please provide a link that backs up what you say that includes the successes of Scandinavian countries? Thanks.

Sneakers?
Billboards and other sources of ambiguous sensory input will be banned from roads.
When drivers don't have to look at their own dashboard, they are more likely to look at billboards and other sources of ambiguous sensory input.
Apparently Tesla already open sourced their electric car patents

Business owners can pursue happiness all day, but if there is no demand for their goods/services they won't be in business long.
Don't forget that Fermilab has a music video, Particle Business! https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

But totally the mall security robots part!
In order to protect the TSA agents, the TSA should be disbanded. You can't shoot what's not there!
No thanks.

There's a fun fact about the wheels of Curiosity. They spell out "JPL" in Morse Code in the sand of Mars. :)
Basically they are moving the instrument to a facility that can make a better stream of particles to steer into it.

Just say it... creating effecting shark repellents.

If you can't have a model drone, you might as well get a "Droney - the friendly surveillance drone" tshirt!
