Actually, I know it has happened at least once. I can't say that I really remember the name of the band.. it wasnt my preferred music genre, etc... but I remember going to boston about a year or two ago, and hearing this band on the radio. It was punkish.. hardcore sounding.. but it had a girl singer and all in all wasnt too bad.. just not my thing, you know? Someone told me they got exposure on napster or something and thats how they got noticed. Sorry I dont have specific details... like i said it was a while back and not my thing anyways.

The buildings were definately designed to withstand the impact of the planes hitting it. It wasn't the impact at all that made the buildings collapse.. otherwise they would have done so almost immediately, not almost over an hour later.

The reason here was the raging infero.. you gotta remember that these planes were scheduled for trans-continental flight... This means that they had alot of fuel in those wings.. extremely flamable fuel.

    [ snip-snip from www.aviationfirejournal.com/pdf/afj-article.pdf ]

Aviation grade gasoline is approx. -50 degrees F. This means that in almost any imaginable weather, the gasoline will still give off enough vapor sufficient to form an ignitable mixture in the air near the surface of the liquid. Upon ignition, the flame spread will be between 700 and 800 feet per minute, or about 12 feet per second. Auto ignition occurs between 825 and 960 degrees F.

    [ /snip-snip ]

The steel structure of the buildings wasnt meant to handle the immense heat given off by the fire, and started melting. It apparently could have spread very fast. The floors just fell off the melting support structure, causing a domino effect knocking down one floor after another.
    Or so I heard anyway.

Well, the reason I'd think they wouldnt just yet want to admit shooting down a commercial plane, is due to the civilians.. americans no less, on board... It's almost like one of those things you know you have to do, but are ashamed of doing, for whatever reasons there may be.. and I dunno, maybe right now isnt the time to come out with it yet..

Which reminds me... I heard about a 5th plane going down once on the news, and that's all I heard about it.. Not even a single word was said (that i've heard) about the plane afterwards.... anyone else remember hearing that? It sounds to me like something's being kept secret/covered up for some reason... and no, im not a 'conspiracy' person.. it just seems odd to me.

People I've talked to say the plane was on the way to camp david.. however, the plane being overpowered, although a nice touching story, is a bunch of hoohah. Supposedly we shot them down, when they failed to respond to our warnings... Remember all the fighter jets we had patrolling the area by then? The lives of a few for the lives of many, I guess. Dont quote me on it though, its just what I heard.. but it makes more sense and seems like a more likely scenario to me than the 'hero' stories... Why else would there be so much undisclosed information about it on the news? You think this is something the gov wants to admit having had to do?

Well, you be the judge, just my $0.02.
