    I see what you are saying though. I have no certs but I'm thinking on them. It seems around here certs are the only way to even get an interview for a job.

    Does loss leading really work? I mean it must, but I never buy something I didn't go in for. If the batteries I wanted are out, I leave. I guess I'm in the minority.

    You'd think, but I saw this on 4 other web sites BEFORE Slashdot got a holdof it. Plus if it's like any other class action suit, it will be posted in magazines and other places as well.

    As I said before, mysteriously that division will make it to like $4.90 and none of the people who signed up get anything. Well except for some spam or something.

    I agree with ya. People don't seem to realize that what Tivo does pisses some other people off. If they do get sued/put of business then what?

    Oh sure Tivo fans all say it's still a viable box but I'm doubtful.

    Then don't pay. You TiVo will still work to record live stuff, pause live stuff, etc... without the subscription.


    If this is in a contract that Tivo never changes, it'd be great. I dont trust them to not send a kill down the line and render a Tivo useless.

    What I want is a simple and easy way to take the shows I recorded and place them on CD as VCDs.

    Exactly. It's ging to hurt at first. Long distance prices are going to sky-rocket but competition, true competition will lower prices eventually.

    Why?
    Read the rules. If enough people file a claim and the money being paid is less than $5 per person, then the RIAA pays all the money to a charity. I'll lay 100 bucks that this is what happens.

    That's what I need to know as well. I have DISH and I want a PVR. I want a PVR that I can save the streams to VCD.

    You should visit Philadelphia sometime. I have a friend who has gone thru two companies and 4 phones. His calsl always suck to me. Dropped words and sentences. Calls being cut off. he gets slightly better reception outside but if I had his phone troubles I'd get rid of the cell all together and wait til something a but better came out.

    Is this really a roller coaster? I'd think a roller coaster would go in some sort of loop, not straight up, a twist and then straight down. I'm sure it's a thrilling ride, but not really a roller coaster.

    I suppose. But when people say that this "Special" time of year beer is better than X, I have to think it's bullcrap. Unless a special brewery is created and is only ever used that one time a year. It's all the same.

    It is a rumour. I was paid less than the three other programmers at a job I had. I'm male. They're female. Pay should be based on skills not skin color.

    Funny, once I signed up for my State's list my calls from "Unknown" all stopped. In fact since I've been on the list I've gotten one call from a telemarketer, whom I reported. Before the list I was getting 2-3 calls a day.
