I feel compelled to inform the author of TFA that we overcame this problem years ago with something called EMULATION. Stella (http://stella.sourceforge.net/) has been around since 1996, and that's just one of many excellent Atari 2600 emulators that remove the hardware dependency he spoke of.
Pretty much. I remember running it through Wireshark a few months back and noticing it was still trying to connect to Google servers. It was less so than the default installation of Chrome, but nearly identical to Chromium after deselecting some options. SRWare Iron is such a freaking joke...

No one said otherwise. The point being made is Adobe would likely do the same if Jobs reversed his position on Flash for the iPad/Pod/Phone.
