Sony Ericsson launches a boot loader unlocking program for their Android phones (and launches the pretty sweet xperia line). And now Ericsson takes a non facist stance on copyrights.
I don't know who kicked some sense into those companies, but whoever it was; thanks!
We've had this as a policy in Sweden for quite some time now.
The Swedish police posts all traffic surveillance on their home page in the hope that people will act more responsibly if they know they have an increased risk of getting cought. Don't know how well it works but on Wikipedias list of road fatalities per 100k inhabitants/ year we're on second place globally.
Cryptome has been up and running since -96 and if anything having Wikileaks show up in -06 has only made them more relevant.
This should be a good development, the more targets the harder they will be to take down.
No need to export the video feed to them as I just want the 3d video stream for myself and perhaps a few selected friends.
Would be cool to insert avatars from several people there though. A 3d video version of the old MOO concept, or a local second life with a live video background to use a more modern analogy.
Bandwidth will be an issue however.
Secondly, to be clear about what it is we are referring to:
Definition of DIPLOMACY
1: the art and practice of conducting negotiations between nations
2: skill in handling affairs without arousing hostility : tact
I thought it was defined as:
DIPLOMACY, n.
The patriotic art of lying for one's country.
Easy.
If I really want to use such a site, I'll just enable that add, authorize myself and disable it again. Besides, if it's video it'll most likely be caught in my flash-blocker rather than the ad-blocker.
A shame I don't have the points to mod you up.
Since Carrie Gouskos took over it has been moving in the right direction. It's not a well run software project by any standard but the game is great fun and certainly nowhere near dead yet.
From the same wikipedia article: The safe reduction of human waste into compost is possible. Many municipalities create compost from the sewage system biosolids, but then recommend that it only be used on flower beds, not vegetable gardens. Some claims have been made that this is dangerous or inappropriate without the expensive removal of heavy metals. There are other simple yet effective ways to process the compost into safe and usable material. One method that has been successful is known as "humanure" where the material is composted with kitchen refuse and high-carbon materials, such as yard waste, heated through biological activity (fermentation), and kept for an optimal period of time, whereby the pathogens are destroyed. Many people in the United States and other countries have been practicing this method for over ten years now without any negative consequences

As a European reader, I haven't really gotten my head around those imperial units yet. How many mm would this pancake measurement of yours represent?

Am I the only one imagining getting a Kinect or two in every room of their home and then use it to fly through the 3d video feed of their apartment?

# cat /dev/mem | strings | grep -i llama

There, fixed that useless use of cat for you.
Does the responsible coder buy his department a cake, a case of beer or is he/she given a stern talking to.

Cool. So I can run DOS on my switches now? Oh, the other iOS. Meh.
