But which one is going to impress a woman more is the real question.. Hmm.

    a) Rasberry PI: Oh cool - look how nerdy and quirky you are. But you don't have nearly the CAHONES of that power7 owner
    b) WTF? you spent HOW MUCH on that computer? So-and-so's boyfriend just spent $25 on his toys, and then bought her LOTS OF GIFTS.

I think there is some curve of base income which makes the choice. E.g. If you are making >$250k a year, get the power 7. If you are not, get the rasberry pi.

The majority of christians dont - there are christians all over the board.

Many Catholics (one of the largest voting blocks in the country) for example tend to vote democrat (see also Kennedys, Hispanic Americans, etc)

As for the so-called 'religious right' - aka 'moral conservitives' - they vote for this because:

    a) They are mostly protestants that theologically descend from John Calvin and other various 'predestinationist' nonsense -
roughly (in a non nuanced way that many voting in this way are likely to understand it): if you are poor, god is
punishing you for your own sins, therefore, to get out of poverty, stop sinning. See also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calvinism
This is also a convenient way of dismissing the guilt from the legacy of poverty wrought by the slave system
which many of them are descendants of, as well as immigration and us imperialism.

    b) They also believe that the *state* should not have any say in helping those in need, but it should be up to communities,
some going further and taking the line that state assistance, being inherently secular in this country, actively destroys
one of the major attractors to the church, further leading to 'moral decline' etc.

Much as democrats are often influenced by socialist ideas (omg cant say socialist in the US) and 'futureism'. Which, come to think of it, many anglican / episcopalian , methodists, etc. tend to vote democrat or are much more even (but are much less vocal about their belifs impact on their voting)

You can't really understand current US politics without understanding:

    a) the protestant reformation viz. colonization of america and english politics
    b) the english civil war
    c) the US civil war.
    d) moderate socialism (e.g. 'new deal' / social democrat stuff) and progressivism / trade unions / etc.

and these things are not really discussed sociologically in the mainstream press because they challenge peoples identities and are not easily reproducible to polarizing, adrenalin fueling, dopamine releasing soundbites. and socialism / unions / etc is just taboo essentially.

What exactly are people trying to get at about the whole benghazi thing? Irrespective of the amount of security deployed,
if something would have happened, it wouldn't have been 'enough', and people would have tried to politicize it.

    The point is:

    a) He might not *want* to be outed - and willing to e.g. trade state secrets to prevent it from happening if someone finds out
    b) Since he's broken a critical mega-life-impacting vow (and if he has sincere religious beliefs, had a religious wedding, etc -
essentially put his desires above all of that as well, making it in effect multiple vows at once), he cannot be trusted
    c) Even if he wouldn't sell state secrets and would let himself be outed, there is no way to know this a priori, because he
has been proven to be untrustworthy in many levels
    d) Allowing him to continue in the position when a,b,c are known (even in 'secret'/'classified' capacity is a HUGE political liability)

e.g. Fox News Headline: Barak HUSSAIN obama permits ADULTERER to run CIA. More proof that he is a closet islamist by supporting
ISLAMIC POLYGAMY and other related crap, etc.

    e) Probably lied about the affair or nature of the relationship with whomever his partner was many times in the course of internal audits ( you do know intellegence professionals are required to register and discuss the nature of relationships with all aquaintences, and are frequently 'checked up on' by other groups of intellegence professionals - e.g. 'compartmentalized security', etc.)

    f) Probably 1000 things I'm not thinking of
    and
    g) He knows all of these things to be true, took vows keeping these in mind, probably thought them over 1000 of times every time he got turned on by women, and STILL DID IT.

So.. what kind of 'good job' is he actually doing when all of the above is true?

We're not talking about a gas station attendant, or even a surgeon here.
