Why couldn't they have come up with a simplified hypervisor OS, that would launch individual virtual machines, all geared to run one OS per application. These wouldn't have to be the full blown Windows; just tailored mini-OS's geared towards each app's requirements?

Actually I just got our Wii working again (cd drive stopped reading disks) after daughter got Zelda Twilight Princess for her birthday. We've been using the XBox for 2012. Daughter doesn't seem to mind differences. I'm not sure she even knows what framerate or HD out is, though.

In high school, one summer, I worked at a small department store. Seemed like more stuff walked out the back then out past the registers. Funny thing was, the manager would tell us (stock room) he was having stuff delivered for him personally and at end of day, would bring his truck around and decide what was his delivery. At end of month, he'd get upset at shrinkage and change procedures and such. Don't know if he realized a lot of the stock guys, including the manager, were also walking stuff out the back.

Apparently, Lucas would not ok any post-VI stories that were too close to his original plot ideas. And per the recent news stories, Lucas turned over his treatments to Disney. Doesn't mean they're going to use them but then again, Disney'a not exactly inexperienced with adapting stories and changing them all around. So, in conclusion, I'd like to think the Academy, my dog Willis, and my hair stylist.

But yeah, warping space/time to have travel that appears to exceed spacetime? Only hallmark channel movies and algebra classes taught by high school football coaches can approach that level of time fluxuation.
